1. I know this has been asked many times but when is the store going to reopen. Saw we were close to a deal but still waiting for the chance to look at merchandise.
2. Evidently these cars arent real desirable. I havent looked at it close and if I ever get past it again i may stop and take a close look thanks for the input
3. For over a year I have been driving past a Riviera sitting in a small lot next to the highway. Yesterday my curiosity got the better of me and I took the number as i went by and then called the lot. It is a 1966 Riviera and it looks like it is in good shape. The owner says the body and interior is in very good condition but the engine won't start. He thinks the timing chain may be broken. The car turns over but the distributor doen't turn. I am almost afraid to stop and look at this car because if it is nice I would probably buy it, the price seems very reasonable at $1500. Did these cars ever break the gears or pins on the bottom of the distributor. It seems to me I remember something about that on the old big nail heads. Any idea what this car is worth? It is less than 100 miles from me and if its in nice shape it would be cheaper to buy this and fix up than it would be to put A/C in any of my other cars to travel to BDE meets and car shows.
4. I WANT TO GIVE A BIG THANKS TO ALL OF YOU THAT MADE THIS YEARS BDE NATIONAL TOUR SO GREAT. I TOOK MY DAD AND MOM ALONG ON THEIR FIRST EVER CAR FUNCTION AND ON THE WAY OUT MY DAD TOLD ME HE WOULD PROBABLY NEVER GO TO ANOTHER ONE. BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON HE WAS TALKING ABOUT BUYING A CAR AND WE EVEN LOOKED AT ONE WHILE WE WERE IN GALENA. WE HAVE ALREADY MADE RESERVATIONS FOR NEXT YEAR FOR BOTH OF US AND HE JOINED THE BDE WHILE WE WERE THERE null null

7. Anyone out there interested in getting someone to make some new grills for the 70 GS. Mine in my GSX is cracked and I would buy one to replace it or to have on have in case something ever happened to it. I have seen some sold on ebay and they go for ridiculous prices.
8. Just curious how many of you Buick nuts are driving to Galena this month. I will be there with my 58 and my parents are coming along. Heard the motel is completely sold out to the BDE. Hope to see you there
9. I got mine for my 58 special from classic buicks. Both hoses had to be cut to length but they look and fit very well. I also replaced the fan belt with one I got from them.
10. I HAVE OWNED MY 70 GSX SINCE OCTOBER OF 1977 IT IS ALL ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR THE MOTOR. THAT HAD BEEN BLOWN AND REPLACED BEFORE I PURCHASED THE CAR. THE CURRENT MOTOR HAS BEEN REBUILT TO STAGE ONE SPEC. (YES THE CAR IS A STAGE ONE) IT IS WHITE WITH TILT WHEEL POWER STEERING TURBO 400 AUTO TRANS LONG CONSOLE AND THE REST OF THE STANDARD GSX PACKAGE. A GOOD SOURCE FOR INFO ON GSX'S IS THE GSX REGISTRY I DONT HAVE THEIR EMAIL ADDRESS RIGHT HERE BUT WILL GET IT TO YOU OR YOU CAN GET TO IT BUY SEARCHING UNDER GSX
11. I was looking on ebay today and there are tow Le Sabre's on the auction both say just like and impala or something to that effect. I just about sent them a message saying if they were Impala's they wouldn't be half the car they are. It's no wonder these people are selling their cars. They don't have a clue what they've got. Buy the way there is a pretty good looking 55 Super 4 door sedan on Ebay right now just 30 or 40 miles from where I live. I ran it up to $2500 and think it should be worth more than that but can't go any higher or the wife will have me sleeping in the garage in my 58. If anyone is interested in this car I would be willing to store it until they could pick it up. Will drive out and look at it if I have time
12. That 1960 Le Sabre that caused so much stir is back on Ebay again. By the way I registered using fake email address but my information is all there
13. I got the 58 out and drove it home from where it was stored the other day. Was on a two lane and looking at the countryside when I looked down at the speedometer I was going over 70 mph. Boy what a nice riding and driving car. Had to put in a radiator was getting hot at stop signs and pulled the old one out. core was shot. I can't seem to make the dash lights work and am pretty sure the headlight switch is bad. Anyone got any suggestions for other fixes that would be appreaciated. Other wise a suggestion as to where I could possibly find a new switch would be great. Looked at classic buicks and the buick farm and had no luck.
14. I HAVE TRIED ALL THE OFFERED SUGGESTIONS AS WELL AS TRYING TO GO IN AND BUILD A NEW IDENTITY BY REGISTERING AGAIN. NOTHING WORKS AND WHEN I TRIED TO BUILD NEW USER NAME IT SAYS THAT EMAIL ADDRES HAS ALREADY BEEN REGISTERED.??????????????DONT WANT TO CHANGE MY EMAIL ADDRESS SO NOW WHAT I CANT SEEM TO MAKE IT SEND ME MY INFO EITHER BY REQUESTING THAT SO I AM REALLY LOST.
15. I have tried going in through MSN and searching for Buick Club of America and I have Keyword Buick club of America saved in my favorites and that is the way I have alwauys went in.I am not quite sure what you mean by Browser
16. I asked the questions about the originallity of the equipment on that car and they say it is all original that way from the factory. As for the miles it only says that the speedometer says 26500 not that it has never been turned over. It also state that the engine has only 8000 miles since rebuild. I think that if I had the money I would buy the car in a second. But alas the wife says no more for awhile so that is why I posted it in the first place hoping to see that nice looking car go to a good home of a BCA member.
17. I know older people who do things different just because that's the way they liked them.
A freind of mine ordered a new 1974 Ford LTD with no A/C, another freind of mine ordered his new 1963 Impala SS with no options and a three speed stick on the column. My Grandfather purchased a new 1970 Buick Skylark Custom and the only option on it was the AM radio. I know about this car quite well because it ended up being mine.
Who know why a car was ordered the way it was. My guess would be on this one the person who ordered it wanted the perfomance of the 3 speed manual with all the luxuries offered. Then again all the goodies may have been added later and I guess the only way to tell would be to look at the history or find out from the current owner if he has a good solid history of the car. It is possible to ask the seller those questions and would most definatly be to his advantage to answer them if he can
18. I have been messing with it for awhile but can't get any answer maybe you need to wipe out my user name and let me register again. I have requested my password several times and nothing happens when I try to get in and update my user info it says I am no using valid id. When I try to build new id it tells me you already have user registered under that id?????
19. yes nothing has changed as far as my internet access just new hard drive and motherboard in my computer
20. My computer went down a couple weeks ago and now i can't post anything on the buick sight under my registered name. When I have tried I get a message telling me that my user name is not valid. if I try to post replys using my user name and no password I get message that tells me that the user name is a registered user? I have tried twice to request my information and it has not been sent.
21. I just saw that on ebay there is a 1960 Le Sabre with factory A/C and lots of options with a three speed manual transmission. Looks pretty rare to me anyone interested should check it out. Very nice looking car.
