Battery

Here's my input: I'm using a "six Volt "OPTIMA" Battery with 980 CA. This works good for me. You can buy it in a Black case (Battery box) or make your own. See Item by "Willie" dated 08-12-2001 in this Discussion Forum. If you need more info Email me. Willie
  11. My Email address is (spa@premier1.net)
  12. Please let me know more info. about your car. You may Email me. Willie null
  13. The window motor that I was using was going the wrong (I guess it was wrong) direction (Clock-wise). I have another power window motor that turn counter clock-wise, now the pressure relief valve push outward, however I still did not get any pressure. A help after this update???? Do you have a good one for sale???
  14. I would like to know if any "Hyd. window systems expert" knows how I can make my power window Hyd. pump fluid under pressure. The pump will move fluid from the discharge pipe if I remove the "pressure relief valve", (Very low pressure) when I hold the Relief vave in the port, the vacuum will suck the valve from my hand. With all the parts installed with or without "spacers" on the pressure relief valve hex head plug, It will not pump pressure. Any help out there in old car land???????? Thanks for you help. Willie
  15. I wanted to know if anyone out in Lincoln land knows where I can get my (1948 L/C)
window pump repaired. I've had the electric unit rebuild, I replaced the seals inside the pump, The pump is was primed and it'll spin but no Hyd. pressure.
  16. Hello mrmom, Maybe I can help. I tried the standard 6 Volt battery, (740 Cranking amps),It turn over my newly rebuilded V-12 very slow. Now I'm using an 6 Volt "OPTIMA" batt. with 980 Cranking Amps. It works much better. You may find a Rebuild fuel tank at "Merrin Adkins, Ph. (909) 980-1332" (Calif)I got a good fuel tank from him last year.
  17. Maybe I can clear this subject up.
1) If you have a 50 lb gage installed in your car, & you have a 50 lb oil sending unit, the direct pressure gage will read approx. the same as the car gage.
2) If you have a 80 lb gage installed in your car, & you have a 80 lb sending unit, the direct pressure gage will read approx. the same as the car gage.
3)If you have a 50 lb gage installed in your car, & you have a 80 lb sending unit, the direct pressure gage will read higher than the car gage.
Now I hope someone will agree with me. If not
Please tell us all what's going on. (This infomation in to spice up this Controversey)

  18. Thanks for the reply, When I found the car it did not have a V-12 installed, (Also no sending unit) I'm using the wrong sending unit now. I have a direct reading gage on the engine so I have good oil pressure. I just want the gage to read the correct pressure. I'm using the 85 PSI oil pump. Thanks again. Willie
