My friend has a 1955 Chev. engine size 235 Cu.Inch in his 1941 chev. car. He was told that he should have the 7.5 inch round water pump pulley, he was also told that he should have the other size pulley 4 or 5 inch. round. His car does NOT overheat & the engine runs good. Would someone reply and tell me what size pulley he should have??
Thanks for your time. Willie

Hello you all, I have a test question. I have a Black 1948 L/C, that when new was Blue. Back in the late 50's, someone had painted it Turquoises and installed a 1956/57 368 V-8 engine using the stock drive gears, (Trans. & Rear-end) I've owned the car for the last eight years. (It now have a V-12 installed.)
The guy I brought the car from had it about 35 years (It was black when he got it) I'm getting the car ready to paint now and I've notice a lots of Turquoises paint under the black paint. The Question is: Would any of you know who had this car when it was Turquoises? Or a picture of it? I'm sure, if someone had seen it, they would not forget.
I'm trying to find more of the car history. Any help??? Thanks Willie

O.K. Here's the 411. (INFO) I went to the VW parts counter
and the welting is made of plastic. I found that The
"Mid Fifty F-100 Parts" (Name of company.)1-800-252-1956
has the welting in leather looking covering the rubber hose
inside. I have a sample and it's more Lincoln looking. (Looking good)
:It cost about $25.00 for 20 foot.
After the hard work of removing the fenders & repairing the body
and a new paint job, what a few more dollars to make it last???

I was wanting to ask if you have the "Grounding Strap" from the motor to the car body. This grounding strap is about 3/4" wide. Good luck. Willie

Try using the Kick-down switch from "NAPA" P/N OD6284, I used it on my 1948. It works for me.

Sorry for the late reply, I have read two ways of fixing the "Hood Fitting Problem", It's in "The way of the Zephyr" Maz/books: Dated Jan 1984 Vol 16 Number 6 and Dated Oct 1996 Vol 29, number 5. I can mail a copy of the instructions to you if you or your friend don't have these books. Willie

Looking in the "Lincoln Classis Parts Catalogue" The 39 & 40 Spindle with P/N 96H 3105 are the same. The 41 P/N is 16H 3105, the 42 to 48 with P/N 26H 3105 are the same. I have the part numbers from the book, I don't know if they are all the same. I hope this will help.
