  1. You can find pretty much anything on the net by Googling it. Here's the link I use: http://pure-gas.org/
  2. I was a member of the original club and joined back in 1982 when Dave Lewis started the club. I signed up for the new club and paid my dues at the Buick Nationals in Flint, when the club was just starting to sign members. I waited and waited for the club to get off the ground and sent Gene Phillips two e-mails over the course of several months, both went unanswered. Frustrated, I wrote a final e-mail commenting on the poor way the club was being run and expressing my regret for joining it. Weeks later, I got a letter and my dues back. The letter ended by saying the club was better off without members like me in it. After being a member in good standing of the original club and paying dues every year for almost 25 years, I wouldn't be a member of the new club if I was paid to join. I've belonged to the AACA, CCCA, Packard club, Cadillac club, VMCCA, Buick club and others over the years and have never experienced the rudeness I did with Phillips from the '36 to '38 Buick club. The old club was a very good, professionally run organization until the last editor took it over. I'm not surprised the membership is so low in the new club, considering the response I got.
  3. Anyone needing a car transported anywhere along the cities of Buffalo, Erie, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Louisville, Nashville, Memphis, Little Rock and Dallas please contact me. I'm heading out later this month (Oct) and will be coming back along the same route in November. Contact me at chacheska@verizon.net or call me at (716) 297-5625. Thanks! Karl
  4. Regarding the open trailer to Boston ........ please contact me at chacheska@verizon.net. Thanks again.
  5. Hi. I'm making a trip to Rhode Island July 8th and have an 18' open trailer that I'll be pulling to pick up a car out there. If anyone needs a car delivered anywhere near the Rhode Island to Boston area I'd be happy to work something out with them at a good rate. Thanks!
  6. I have my dad's '73 Cad for sale. It can either be a parts car or restoration project. It's Firemist Green with a white roof and interior. It has 54,000 miles on it. It's rusty in all the normal places for that vintage Cad ...... around the wheel wells, inside the trunk and the gas tank leaks. I have an extra gas tank. It last ran about 15 years ago but I've cranked the engine over occasionally. The paint is weak. I don't want to scrap it because it was my dad's car and also because I'm a hobbyist and that doesn't sit well with me. I'm making a trip to Rhode Island from western NY and would like to find someone in NY, northern Pa, Ct, Ma or RI that might want to buy it as I will be able to deliver it. I'll be leaving by the end of June. I've called a few Cadillac members who own this vintage car and was advised $500 would be a fair price. If anyone is interested please let me know. Thanks!

  8. I have my dad's Coupe. It's Firemist green with a white top and interior. It has 54,000 miles. It hasn't been run in 18 years and needs restoration. The front seat was redone in vinyl. The trunk floor is rotted as is the area right around the wheel wells in front. Typical early 70's Cad rust problems. My dad died in 1977 and the car was used for a few years after that but was put away and stored inside for the last 18 years. I'd really like to see someone restore the car rather than scrap it so if anyone is interested they can post a reply here or at chacheska@verizon.net. I honestly don't know what it's worth in it's present condition. I'm in western N.Y. Thanks in advance.
  9. All the Buckeye jacks I've ever seen have been black. If it were mine I would definitely do black.
  10. If anyone is in the Springfield, Va or DC area or is passing through that area going to the national meet would you please contact me at chacheska@verizon.net? I have an item in the Springfield/DC area that needs to be picked up and brought to the meet. If anyone would be kind enough to help me I'd sincerely appreciate it. Thanks!
  11. By the way, if no one responds to the ad to buy the car but needs parts off it please let me know before I take it to the crusher. I'll be glad to salvage whatever you need within reason. Thanks again for viewing.
  12. If anyone from the Springfield, Va or DC area or anyone south of there going through that area is going to the Cadillac national meet in Cherry Hill, N.J. in 3 weeks please contact me at chacheska@verizon.net. I have something in Springfield, Va (DC area) that needs to be picked up and brought to the meet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks much!
  13. I'm posting this on this forum because it gets more viewers than any other forum. I'll also post on the Cad site. If anyone is going to the Cherry Hill national meet in 3 weeks from the Springfield, Va or DC area or is going through that area from points south or knows of a fellow Cadillac member that is, please have them contact me at chacheska@verizon.net. There is an item in the city of Springfield that I need brought to the meet if someone would be kind enough to pick it up for me. Thanks very much to all.
  14. It's a burgundy on burgundy with a V6 and 96,000 miles. The left front brake line is shot, the gas line is leaking around the middle of the passenger door area and the left rear frame is gone from the tire back. In other words it's a parts car. I hate to scrap anything but that's where it's going if no one wants it. Scrap here is $235 a ton right now so at 3,100 lbs I can get about $350 for it. After cutting out the cat converter, taking out the radiator, battery, starter and alternator I can probably get another $100 out of it but, again, I hate to scrap something that has many good parts. The car runs well. Anyway. I thought I'd see if anyone was interested before junking it. I'm in the Buffalo, N.Y. area. If someone wants it for $400 it's yours otherwise I could use the money and will cut it up and scrap it. I'm a 1930's collector and don't know the market for these cars so if anyone has any comments or suggestions feel free. Thanks for looking.
  15. If your car is 99% complete don't put a Nova tank on it. Call Dave Tacheny in Minnesota at (763) 427-3460. Dave has provided many, many people with 1937 and 1938 Buick cars and parts over the years. He owns dozens of them and has more parts than anyone. His prices may not be the cheapest but he's definitely not the most expensive, either. He'll have your gas tank.
