  3. I spoke to the owner and as I said it is not far from me and as it turns out I saw this car in the late 70's. I used to drive by the garage on my way to college everyday and one day the garage door was open. I never knew what it was until recently. Hubert what he has for a top is probably a set of REX Enclosures. They were a company that supplied glass sliding windows for open touring cars. They were removable with some tools.. I had a NOS set for a model 45 still in the crate. Buick made fixed top versions of the 25 and that is a 25A

  8. There are so many of them that I can't move them. I had my movers take them and put them in my garage. 46 Woodie thanks for the idea but the dumpster is coming tomorrow. So this is your last chance .
  9. Always find it amazing what turns up in your area after being hidden away for years. I've been told by car dealers in the past that Brooklyn and Queens were full of old cars sitting in little garages behind the modest row house. The only one that I ever found there were the bones of an old model T. This is a model 25. Could be a 25A with the fixed top. Just spoke to owner. Car has not run in 35 years and hasn't tried to turn it over.
  10. I have hundreds and hundreds of magazines from the Packard Club, Cadillac Club and Classic Car club plus more. They are FREE but will not ship. Must be picked up on long Island, NY before the dumpster gets here. Hemmings Collector Car , old Car and Driver. Also lots of Old House Journals. I'll throw them in for nothing. Answer me back through this site. Thanks
  11. Thanks C Carl, there is life on here after all. Some of them probably go back at least twenty years maybe more. I was thinking about putting this under General but thought people would complain. I'll give it a shot , thanks again.
  12. The dumpster is coming. There has to be over a thousand mags. The Packard Cormorant is $2.50 a piece if you buy an old issue. The Classic Car from the Classic car club is full of color pictures. How about getting these for dad for fathers day or mom for mothers day. I want nothing for them. The Hemmings Classic Car mags are a lot of money to get an old issue. I collected them but have no room. HELP!! It will kill me to throw them out.
  13. I have one around here somewhere. Was told that it was made by a Buck club at one time so it's not from 1926. It is a nice piece though. The good thing is that it will be easier to find if you want one. Look on Ebay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Buick-1926-Master-Six-Key-Chain/263536959952?hash=item3d5c06e1d0:g:r28AAOSwGzhaFO~R

  15. I kept the car a few years and sold it for a whopping $2,800. Last time I saw it the odometer read 30, 000 less miles on it. The original interior was in great shape. Had factory air and I put in the original two piece FM stereo.
  16. Any person thinking of buying one of these should see it in person or get it very cheap as I had one that I bought off craigs list a while back without looking . They have a problem with rotting rockers and the floor of the trunk behind the rear tires. The car I bought had both. My father had a 68 Limited he bought new and one spring around 1977 I was waxing it and I happened to look at the rear body mounts and they were gone. The rear of the car was floating on air. He bought a new 1978 Lesabre and the car I learned to drive on was sold for $300.
  17. 1931 Buicks are all eights BUT the small 50 series early in the year used the tranny and open drive from the 1930 Marquette. So if your 31 50 is not synchromesh look underneath and if you can see the driveshaft then this is what you got.
  18. A Jolson tour de force where he walks right through a Packard open touring. Lots of cars. It's a favorite of mine and hope it becomes one of yours. Stay till the un PC end
  19. At the time I still payed a good amount not near what he wanted but still less than what the repro cost but I never saw one better. These always have issues with the threads especially the dogbones. The pot metal corrodes and the extra leverage breaks or strips the threads. I have the plain drilled cap with motor meter on my 25-45. No pot metal.
  20. It was real cause I bought it and it's like new. It's for a 1927. Your 25 would have a plain cap as standard or cap with motor meter in it or fancy dogbone with motor meter. He didn't sell it right away.
  21. Bob looks to be the one. Any idea what that is behind the front door on both sides? What is the other car near the end of the clip. See if you can go 2 for 0. thanks I have to download something to watch the whole movie. My friend who told me about it says that there are lots of cars in it.
