1. Wally, There's a '91 convert at Hemmings. May have too many miles for you, but doesn't sound all that bad and may be priced right.
2. OOPS, Bubba gonna git ya, illegal to run red lights on the front. Besides, all those amber bulbs the Reatta park lights are unique enough to attract attention anyhow.
Oops, Bubba gonna' git ya', illegal to run red lights on front. Besides, all those amber bulbs in the Reatta park lamps are unique enough to get attention anyhow.
3. The bottom edge of the window has a downward curve . Perhaps the stripe designer didn't want a straight stripe next to that curve and decided the break looked better.
I like stripes and have had them hand painted on the last dozen or so vehicles.

His post isn't clear, buying or selling?
5. Buy something from J.C.Whitney if you want to see how much shipping can cost.
6. About 2 1/2 years ago I purchased a '90 coupe. I had seen only three in all the years they had been out and decided maybe they'd be collectible. I found the '90 in Phoenix, it was decent and I made it mine. Six or so months later I got a computer and in a few weeks I discovered this forum. I look at it daily. I gave my cpe the old brake test described here and flunked it. I took it to a long time GM mechanic who is now independent. He said he'd repair it as soon as he had time to go to the dealership and look at a service manual. Again, after reading here to get the manual, I had it and let him use it. He stated the manual is "gold".
I had an expensive re-paint done on the car, but it just wasn't quite "right". I found an opportunity to trade for a '91 coupe and traded based on information found here. I rebuilt its headlight mechanisms from information gleaned here.
Can't say enough good about this site.
7. In the above ad for the convertible, the phone # is an Oregon #, the car is in Phoenix.

9. Sure makes me feel inadequate. There are days I feel I can cure all my computer problems with the hammer I carry in the truck. (metric hammer, of course).
10. A "freeze" in Texas? Probably the result of a "blue norther".

Reatta Wheels

Do it. Expect no problems whatsoever.
12. tcams76, out of specification means putting a passenger tire on a truck or getting a tire way out of weight or speed raring for the vehicle you install it on. Changing the width or size up or down within reason will not affect the warranty. The Cimmaron tire probably is a no-no.

Reatta Year

Should be able to determine the year from the serial number on the car.
15. Spare time I understand, but spare$$, what a concept.
16. Yo REATOM, What is your plan for so many Reattas? One of each year, one of each color, price only, condition only, hoarding for price increase, stacking so you'll never have to buy another car, etc, etc. ??????
Just curious.
17. The manufacturers were having paint problems during the era of the Reatta, something to do with a hole in the ozone layer. Airless spray methods were being perfected, different paint formulas were being used, even water based. The base/clear process was being perfected. If you notice cars of that period you will see peeling paint, crystallized clear coat, etc. GM, for instance, repainted thousands of vehicles under warranty. It's a wonder so many cars of that time period have had paint hold up and still look nice. The 2 Reattas I've had have been O.K. but the stripes haven't fared so well.
18. eibach.com has lowering springs for nearly everything. Even if they don't list your car, give them a call, they may know of a cross reference fit. If enough Reatta owners want them, they probably will make them.
19. The way mine was acting when the fuel pump was on its way out. Most expensive fuel pump I ever had installed, but now starts and runs good as ever.

Fix her up?

Have you looked into a "paintless dent repairman"? They show up here after every hail storm and seem to do very nice work.
21. By 1991 Federal emmissions standards had pretty much become as stringent as California emissions. Probably not much if any differences.
22. We should be burning diesel, it has higher btu content than gasoline. Eighteenwheelers don't burn gasoline. Mercedes has had a decent diesel for autos since the 30's. GM got in a hurry to put a diesel on the road during the crunch of the 70's. Without the proper development they messed it up for time to come. Just think, what if all the development in recent years put into gasoline engines had been put into diesels? They might even smell good.
