  1. This is a total shock. I've known Chris since he first came on board and have had total respect for what he's brought to AACA. My sincere condolences to his family on this untimely loss. Rick Marsh
  2. I'm currently on the Glidden Tour so I am unable to measure it. They are obviously less than 3/14" as they do not fit onto the DeSoto Airflow axle. If someone has a DeSoto Airstream and would like a nice set of wheels, I would be happy to talk with them.
  3. I'm currently on the Glidden Tour so I cannot measure it. I can bring each item to Hershey if there is any interest.
  4. The images are of a engine head for a 1948 Plymouth six. I cannot verify the PN on the manifold but, it came from the same source so I assume it of the era. I'd like $30 for the head and $25 for the manifold. Free delivery to Hershey 2022. Let me know if there is any interest.
  5. I have a rear differential assembly, the front axle, two front springs and two brake drums ( one front and one rear) If there is any interest, I can bring any of these to Hershey October 2022. I would like $25 each for the brake drums. I would like $30 each for the front springs, I would like $35 for the front axle. I would like $75 for the rear differential. Please let me know if there is any interest. Rick Marsh
  6. I'm still in need of a set of wheels. The ones shown in this thread must have come off a DeSoto other than an Airflow because the center hole is way too small. The center hole for a DeSoto Airflow wheel is about 3 1/4 inches. Please let me know if any of these wheels are available.
  7. The intake manifold shows # 1011805 and date 12-21. The head shows 1326306-3 date 10-8. I believe the head is for a 1948 Plymouth six. I'm assuming the intake is of a similar vintage because of the original source. I'd like $30 for the intake and $40 for the head. Free delivery to Hershey in October 2022. Thanks, Rick Marsh
  8. I recently acquired a 1935 DeSoto Airflow sedan and would like to have a spare set of wheels. If anyone has a set or some individual rims, I would be interested in dealing.
  9. I may be wrong but, my understanding is the 1934 Airflow was not syncro while the 1935 through 1937 was syncro.
  10. I'm interested in the wheels. Send me a message at ecmarsh@ctc.net and let's see what we can do.
  11. Thanks. I think that is a good ways from my back yard.
  12. I'm interested. Are you going to be at the Airflow Nationals this July in Independence, Mo?
  13. I'm looking at the picture and they appear to be the same. I am not overly concerned about the color. Where are you located?
  14. I have not picked up the car yet. Here is a picture. I assume from the picture that they are 12 hole.
  15. I am in need of atleast 4 wheels for a 1935 DeSoto Airflow. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
  16. I'd be interested in talking with you about these two parts cars. Send me some location and contact information. Eric Marsh
  17. I admit I made a mistake. I disconnected the three wires on my alternator without first taking a good picture or labelling them with tape. I would really appreciate an image of the wiring on the alternator of a 1984 Dodge or maybe Chrysler 2.2 liter engine. Thanks in advance for the assistance
  18. Good afternoon, The Dodge diesel trucks with Cummings diesels, as I understand it, had some automatic transmission issues. This apparently was lessened when they acquired Allison transmissions. In what model year did that occur?
  19. Good morning, My understanding is that Ernie Petit passed away and the family may still have some of the Airflow parts he'd accumulated. Has anyone got contact information?
  20. I have a spare rear assembly from a 1934 Airflow. Let me know if you're interested.
  21. Hello Joe, Give me a call at 704-267-9383. I maybe able to help. Rick Marsh
  22. Hello Jim, I have the remains of a 1934 Chrysler Airflow model CU. I'll check tomorrow as to whether the front springs are still on the tubular axle.
  23. The latest comments from edinmass are a good summary of where my local support is. We are down to one machine shop who has been more than helpful on my projects. They do, however, need some specs before jumping in. I have obviously not disassembled anything to this point and am reluctant to do so without the fundamentals of a plan. The good news is that with the current Covid-19 situation I have plenty of "out in the garage" time.
  24. My thanks to edinmass for reminding me that I'm not an expert. I've had this 1931 Chrysler CM6 for a few years and have, one by one, been trying to correct activities from previous owners, such as incorrect battery cables, incorrect intake / exhaust / carburation, inoperative gauges, etc. Yes, I don't know squat about a front end so I've been through two shops that have both told me it isn't ready for king pins and such. Both of them di suggest a steering box rebuild. This is North Carolina where the standard thought process leads one to take a pre-WWII car and drop in a Chevy 350. That is exactly why I came to this forum with what I assumed was a straight forward request. I guess I'll still keep looking for a technical manual and calls Larescorp about parts availability.
  25. 😊 I find that there is no more adjustment left in my steering box and would like to do a rebuild. Has anyone done this before? Where did you find the technical information? Where did you find the required parts? Thanks in advance for the assistance. Rick Marsh
