  1. I have a 1965 Riviera Gran Sport non-air car and want to install the vintage air conditioning system on it and can have questions of what is available for them. Has anyone done this that can give me information?? I have a shop that will do the installation but want me to purchase the kit for it, that is what I need help with. Waiting for a catalog from Vintage Air to determine what I will need to order. If you have done I need your help. Paul 559 355-3551 or 65skyriv19@att.net
  2. Stavros is quite a guy, he is a trooper and as we both said it would have been easier and cheaper to trailer the car home but what is the adventure worth??????? He has a story that would be hard to match by anyone on a car vintage collector car purchase. A loosely plugged voltage regulator can cause a lot of problems. I am glad that he got home and the car made it through mountains, rain, snow and high altitudes but that is a Riviera for you. Paul
  3. THIS CAR HAS BEEN SOLD. THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT COMMENTED ON IT AND HELPED TO GET THE WORD OUR. Paul
  4. My opinion which supports some of the comments is that it depends on the color of the car, top and interior. Whether the top sets it off or does not look good/correct/right. I like the black top on the Silver Car and I like the black top on the Bamboo Cream 1965 Riviera GS but not so on the Champagne Mist nor the Verde Green ...... my 2 cents. BTW the 69* has met reserve and is going to be sold. Paul
  5. Thanks for your comments, yes those are flares that were in the car when I obtained it so I left them there. Very original car was covered with dirt/dust from storage when pulled out, paint was fine except for a couple of spots so I decided it deserved a new paint job. I purchased a new 1968 with vinyl top in 1968 from the showroom floor very nice cars.
  6. Just listed this 1969 All Original 1969 Riviera Silver Grey with Black Interior and Black Vinyl top ...... this is an original car not a restored car with the exception of a original color two stage paint job. No dents, no dings, no scratches, the interior (original) look new. In storage from 1984 to 2017 has protecto plate. It is on ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/232623338558 If you are interested you can contact me through this post, email me 65skyriv19@att.net or text/call 559 355-3551

  10. 2bbl Carburetor? Engine partially disassembled, how does it run??
  11. It is very sad that a beautiful Riviera gets destroyed one that would be extremely difficult to replace almost impossible in that condition and what about the history and families attachment? I have several Rvieras in my garage and never think that something like that would ever destroy them .... Paul
  12. Beautiful 67 ......... not a good time for me to purchase as I just purchased a 1965 Riviera Gran sport, so the funds don't allow anymore. Paul
  13. So are these for sale or spare parts for a later date? Paul
  14. Thank you NC Riviera, by the way, that it is a beauty, mine is Silver Mist with Black interior and Vinyl Top only 88k miles since new. Thanks again. Paul
  15. Thank you for your response, the 69 is new to me so I never paid attention to the postings on the Review regarding 1969. Thanks again Pat

  17. No, I still have the Champagne Mist Riviera Gran Sport that I have had for 15+ years and a 1969 Riviera Silver w/ Black interior 80k miles. I don't expect to be out of the Rivieras since I have always had one from 1966 when I purchased my first new one. Thanks for the question. Have a good one. Paul

  19. Update, I had the two carburetors rebuilt the engine runs great! I also had the undercarriage cleaned and painted satin black since the posting. Please note the bid amount is $29800 and the auction ends today at 6:30 pm California Time. Paul
  20. You guys have a sharp eye. Yes, it is my car. Yes they are 225 70R15. Thanks for the post. Bid is $28000 and has met the reserve so now high bidder will be the new owner. This is a very nice car, needs a few items to complete. Air Conditioning all there but the belts have bypassed the pulleys and I have not gotten into looking into what it will need. Radio turns on no sound?, Exhaust is the original and works fine, but should be replaced to stay with the rest of the car. Lastly, car runs good but seems a little rich may need to be rebuilt .... I will include two new carb rebuilding kits. Paul 559 355-3551
  21. First Go to the local Hardware store, purchase two large inexpensive drop cloths, and several Insect, varmit type bombs.... cover the car and set of the bug killer under the cover, let it set for a couple days and then you have rid yourself of most spiders, insects, mice etc so you can inspect your cars better and safer. Good luck Paul
