  1. Man, I love these ‘40s Mopars, especially the lowly 4dr. I have had two over the years, put many thousands of miles on them and have never been sidelined on the road. Very nice driving and riding cars, very under appreciated in the hobby.

  5. An almost identical 1953 w/ manual transmission + OD sold for 11K near here. It was a very clean one. Very uncommon to find a Chrysler w/ manual trans.

  7. 1931 Deluxe Phaetons (180A) are an uncommon breed indeed. Car is built as a driver and I for one think it would be a good one. The right colors too! The price is in the ballpark for this model and I bet it will sell rather quickly.

  14. Based on my ownership and use of my ‘48 NY’er….you got that right Terry! Mine needs to be driven regularly.
  15. Just about anything you need for these Chrysler products concerning brakes is available at your local NAPA store.
  16. @Fossil The Tremec T-5 was originally built by Borg Warner and sold to Tremec. It was supplied in many cars, starting with AMC in 1983. Also used in Ford Mustangs and GM Camaro and Firebirds. Very popular replacement transmission.
  17. @Fossil I think a Buick straight 8 would help this along somewhat. There is a prewar one for sale near me. I like your project, hope things are progressing.

  21. I’ve seen a few of these modified Model A’s . Not a good look, especially with that straight windshield. Might as well install a V-8 and call it a street rod.
