  1. I think you can buy one of those “hood ornaments” at any truck stop in America…….
  2. Hope this may be of help……three views of the hood latch mechanism on my ‘48 NYer.
  3. Finally finished with the Model T “refresh” winter project. The project consisted of 1) installing a starter 2) refresh transmission 3) replace cracked center main bearing cap 4) adjust rods and mains 5) new valves. Also did a myriad of minor changes, fixes and adjustments. Had it on the road today and I am very pleased with the end results. I will also NEVER undertake a project of this magnitude again!
  4. Your Auburn in my mind is the prettiest one I have seen. I’m sure the beltline color stands out better in person than in picture. I believe I commented a while back that I would paint the wheels a very dark maroon. Call me nuts…….
  5. I believe the gas fill inside the Studebaker was changed to outside the car about Jan.1, 1916. This, according to The owner of a 1915 for sale that I looked at. He restored the car and was a long time member of the Antique Studebaker Club.
  6. Some people have “the” glamour jobs…….I mean the cars, son! No matter what you do……you keep us very entertained……
  7. This will be fun to follow……I understand what you mean as far as $$ spent. I restored a pedal car once and was amazed at what it cost to do……and this was 30 years ago! Enjoy your journey!
  8. @Ben Bruce aka First Born as I have stated before…….I got the cleaning gene, my sister got the shopping gene!
  9. Team effort today…….while I finished basic assembly and preparation of my Model T motor for installation my wonderful wife came out to the shop and waxed our Miata. Possible top down weather approaching here by the end of next week so we wish to be ready for the driving season.
  10. @ericmac hope you start a separate blog about this car and process….
  11. Just found your comment…..Thank You! Post a picture if you can with a reply! Love my NYer…….66k original miles, I am third owner.
  12. It remains a very nice car at any rate….one I wish I could own. I would still paint those wheels though!
  13. I see this car was posted on this forum on Feb. 7………also note the price was raised by $2,000.00!
  14. Terry, Thank You for posting the great winter videos. As one who embraces winter, it is fun to see others enjoy this season in their own way. I would love to drive one of those machines!
  15. Thumbs up for the progress on the car ……….so sorry to hear of all the storm damage and loss of life. As to the loss of your greenhouse , guess you will have to support the local farmer’s markets come harvest time. Best Wishes to you and Ann, Jeff P.
  16. Well…..I have been brought home many a time behind the “rope of shame” in my old car life. Judging by your attention to detail If you would have installed those plugs I bet this would have not happened. Lesson learned?
  17. Once a month, usually about the 1st of, I get the Chrysler out for a warmup and a quick drive to keep things loose. We have a lot more snow this month so maybe we will just stay in the driveway.
  18. Steve, If that would bring back your (wild and impetuous?) youth, let me know and I will immediately go on the hunt for my first car!
  19. I believe I have several pictures of this car somewhere deep in the recesses of my computer. I will post them if found. I’ve seen this car at the Naples (FL) Depot Car Show. It sure looked like a very nice survivor. UPDATE: my pictures of this car (3) are prints, not digital, and are not as good as those posted. Sorry!
  20. I really like this car….very understated. I believe I would change the wheel color though.
