These would look great on your modified Buick! Four (4) American Racing Polished Aluminum Torq Thrust wheels. Model 505-7863. 17 x 8. 5 x 4.75 bolt pattern. Offset +8mm. NEW - never on car. Purchased for a '67 GS that went away. Still in boxes, stored inside always, but one box and one hub went missing. Summit Racing has 505-7863s for $324.99 each. These are $1050 for all! Pick up in Central Florida.

Need inner and outer rocker panels, both driver and passenger sides. Also "body mount supports" - front and rear, left and right. These are the ones that are welded to the body.
Please excuse the bad description. Posting for a friend, and this is what he told me.

430 – 1968-69. Complete with intake & exhaust manifolds, distributor, fuel pump, air pump, starter, Rochester carb, valve covers and more. $400 or reasonable offer.
Nailhead – Believed to be a 1953. Block, heads, valve covers, timing cover, flywheel. Make offer.
Also – Turbo 400 Transmission. Make offer.
All must be rebuilt.

Finally got some photos of the nailhead. And I didn't even break a fingernail!
Could not move it as the cradle it sits in is not in great shape so I couldn't photograph the other side. If it is a '53 would it be a 322? Any guesstimate as to the value? I do want to sell it, so I hope there is interest somewhere. Thanks for everyone's help!

You know how to use the camera, so snap a few pictures of all those engines and post here for us to help, that will almost be like being there, LOL!
Oh, and the guys probably wouldn't mind the pictures of the 4" heels! :eek:

Maybe this weekend I will try to put an the floor jack under the cradle it sits in and see if I can move it enough to get to the number.
I'll post it here when (and if) I find it.
And yes, I can get my fingers dirty - just as long as I don't break a nail1 LOL!

Thanks to all for trying to help me ID this engine.
I am having a really hard time trying to find numbers on this engine because:
1 - I can't move it because I weigh less than 20% of what it does,
2 - Scraping the dirt off is really an issue because I might break a fingernail, &
3 - Digging around in my garage in 4" high heels is really an issue.
But seriously - I had listed the 1343840-4 number as the number on the HEAD, not on the engine block.
I might know model numbers of Buicks, but I really don't know engine parts.
Other numbers I found on other components include 1343872-1, 1342865-4, and a partial that looks like 13 388 that appears to be on the block.
I do know it's a V-8. Previous occupants of my garage included a 1953 76C and a 1955 66C, so I am guessing that it may be a 322.
Bottom like is I need as much help as I can get as I would like to off this engine (in addition to two others - 340 and 455) so I can have some $$$ to finish my GS Convertible
Any thoughts as to what the nailhead may be worth?

Have a nailhead in my garage that hasn't see daylight in quite a few years. I have no way to move it, and was hoping someone could give me direction as to how to identify it. What numbers should I look for and where to look.
I did find #1343840-4 on one of the heads. The numbers on the block itself are hard to see.
Any help will be appreciated.

Yes. They are the original chrome Buick wheels that came on a '73 Riv.

A gentleman has left the hobby. Not only will Al be missed by the Buick Club, but he will also be truly missed by his favorite club - the Buick Driving Enthusiasts (BDE). He was one of the founding members - BDE #9. It was our pleasure to have Al and Ann in attendance at the recent BDE Fall Tour in Winston-Salem NC. Al was his usual jovial self despite his health issues. It was our honor to have known and loved Al Bell. Ann: Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Are there any Reatta collectors out there that are interested in my heavily documented 1990 Gunmetal Gray Metallic (only 5% of production in this color) Coupe with Slate leather interior? This car is in great shape. Always a Central Florida car, there is NO rust. It has two of only 3 extra cost options for that year ? CD player with graphic equalizer and the 16-way power adjustable seat.
The documentation includes the original window sticker from Buick showing a price of $29,961 and the dealer?s sticker showing dealer installed options of Body Side Moldings, Pin Stripes and Door Edge Guards bringing the total to $31,298. The car was purchased from Walt Jenner Buick in Casselberry Florida on March 17, 1990. There is one Buick ?leather? portfolio, and two Reatta ?leather? portfolios ? one of which has the buyer?s name, tire gauge, pen, flashlight, craftmen?s log, owner?s manual, notepad, road atlas and the Handcrafted Buick booklet. Also included are perhaps every pamphlet, flyer and folder that came with the car. There is a Procedure Envelope with forms, the salesman?s card, and thank-you note from the salesman at the dealership. In addition there are letters to the owner from Buick, Ed Mertz and Robert Coletta. Included is the owner?s response to Autoweek magazine lauding his ?dream machine?.
From the Reatta Club standpoint, there is a November 1993 letter from Dr. John Forette announcing the 1st meeting of the Reatta Club forming in Atlanta on June 9, 1994 with the owner?s questionnaire and Dr. Forette?s response to him, plus a letter from then BCA President Dorran Smith dated April 19, 1995 in reference to the Reatta Division.
There is a Service Manual and a 3-ring binder with all this info, plus all the service records for the Reatta from day one. There is even a plastic bag and parts plant pick tag for a purchased part. All of this is packed into a black and silver Buick duffle bag!
There is also a bra for the Reatta.
The car itself runs great! We just completed a 5000 mile trip to Arizona to the Buick Driving Enthusiasts National Tour in Sedona. Mileage was fantastic ? 31 mpg! The only problem that occurred was a flat tire at Grand Canyon because of a faulty valve stem on the brand new BF Goodrich tires. This car ran flawlessly ? tracking straighter than my Corvette ? and at 85 mph!
There are no cracks in the dashboard, unlike many Florida cars. On the down side is that the driver's seat shows some wear, and the driver?s door interior is cracked on the armrest. The paint is in great shape, except for two places on the trunk that were bad from the factory. It is a very respectable driver as is, and wouldn?t take much to get it to show quality. The odometer shows 128K miles.
I hate to see this car go to a non-Buick person, but the neighbor?s son keeps eyeing it and saying ?tuner?. I?ve seen Reattas with higher mileage and no history go for much more money. $3850 or reasonable offer will make sure ?Annie? with not be an orphan.

The Strongsville Holiday Inn was the site of my very first Buick National - having lived 'just up the road' in Rocky River. Many miles and many Buicks later, I am looking so forward to returning to my old stomping grounds!
