  1. If anyone needs either passenger or drivers seat in burghandy leather please let me know. I do have pictures of the seats and they are in fair condition. They are not the 16 way power seats. Since I have owned the car I have used treatment on the leather to keep it looking shiny but the leather had cracks and what not in the leather when I bought it. There are no tares on the main part of the seats. I believe one of them has a very small tare on the very bottom of the very back of the seat so you cannot even see it. Please E-Mail at pantherts@hotmail.com if you are interested as I do not get to check this forum often. Thank you.
  2. Okay here's the deal. I want to get rid of this car as soon as possible. I live in West Michigan right on the lake. The car's interior has been stripped but I have most of the parts stored minus things such as the CRT, instrument cluster, and the ECM; which has all been sold. The exterior of the car has front right damage which means that the fiberglass fender on the right side of the car is gone along with the hood and light assembly. The left fender is perfect and intact. All other body panels are in very good condition. The thing is I will not be living here much longer and I HAVE GOT to get this thing out of here. Parting it out was my original intention but it's very hard to find a market it seems for a lot of the parts. So if anyone out there needs another parts car this is a 1988 White Reatta. If you would like pictures of it just email me at pantherts@hotmail.com. Thank you everyone for all your help while I was here.
  3. The interior of this car is Burghandy, and the ceiling section is already sold.
  4. The CRT and CRT controller were already sold as stated above. *Sigh* This is what I'm running in to. People aren't reading close enough and I keep getting the same requests over and over again for the same parts. I can't forsee myself getting rid of all these parts, Jim Finn, I have the utmost respect for what you do!
  5. Okay, I have waited a little longer than I have wanted to on this. I need to get rid of my 1988 Reatta parts car asap. I have pretty much all the interior parts outside of the car and taken apart. Seats are all out and everything. The outside of the car is in very good shape minus the front end which was the accident that killed her. The driver's side fender is still good, and I still have the driver's side vent window also. The passenger side vent window I have already sold though. The crt and the crt controller are also gone along with the digital gauge cluster. The door panels are in good shape and undented if anyone needs those, along with the trunk lid! Sure they may need to be painted from their original white color but still, the metal is in perfect shape. If anyone needs some type of part off of this car and I mean like any part Im all ears. Or even if ya just want the whole thing as a parts car to finish the work that I have already started for you. I'm going to continue to slowly sell parts on EBay but I have to have this thing totally gone by sometime around the end of May. The whole problem with selling this stuff on EBay is that I keep getting auction questions from people about different parts but always the same parts. The most common are of course mirror assemblies, and parts that might break like a part of the tail light assembly that someone wants me to seperate. I hate seperating large parts such as the tail light assembly because then I won't be able to sell the other parts without the one later! I have a very good condition tail light assembly with pictures. Well, I've gone on enough about this...I just don't want to see this go to the junk yard for $100 and it sit there and get rusty over the years. There is zero rust on this car's body panels. So, post in here the part and how much you would like to give me for it and chances are I will probably take the offer because I just don't have the time not to. Thanks.
  6. I have begun pulling out many things from within the car and will be attempting to pull out this module very soon. If you can wait a little bit I will try to get to is as soon as I can. Thank you for all your help and direction in telling me how to remove it properly.
  7. I do have the glass still. Please E-Mail me at pantherts@hotmail.com to talk about buying it if you would like to still. Thank you.
  8. I can get the twilight sensor out of the car for you but you will need to help me find where it is since Im pretty new to piecing out this car. Thanks.
  9. I have both side mirror housings still, which one would you need? Do you need the glass also?
  10. I do not have the cargo net for the car, sorry.
  11. I happen to have a dent free left headlight door still in good shape. It would need to be sanded down and repainted for whatever color your car is or touched up on one edge in a small spot if its white. Please let me know if you are still interested. Email me at pantherts@hotmail.com
  12. The entire front end was smashed from the right side of the car. There is no front bumper anymore and the hood is also gone. All light assemblies were obliterated. I have to do some calling to make sure if someone who wants to buy the whole car still wants it or not. I will get back to you all on individual parts. Keep looking at this post and I will keep you updated.
  13. The side molding is not white, sorry! I will contact your friend about buying the car as a parts car gford. Thank you for informing me.
  14. My 1988 White Reatta will be taking her last trip on the back of a flat bed by the end of this month. I need the room here at my house since Im going off to college and I will be selling her to a junkyard. Hopefully she will still be able to help other Reatta owners get the parts they need. I have had her sitting here in my driveway for the past year and a half and its time to send her away. Please let me know if any of you would be interested in either some last minute parts or even buying her as a parts car for more than what the junkyard will probably give me. Its white with burghandy interior and I live in West Michigan on the lakeshore. Thanks everyone!
  15. If anyone needs or wants a spare Driver's side vent window in perfect original condition I happen to still have mine. Since my car has to be gone by the end of summer Im trying my best to get these parts moving. If anyone would like this window Im willing to let it go for $200+S&H or best offer. So please send me your offer if the price isn't right. Thanks everyone.
  16. My 1988 Reatta is totalled now and I have yet to check on the condition of the transmission. But at the time of the accident it only had just over 88k miles on the car. It drove perfectly without any shifting problems and very smooth. Please let me know if you are interested so I can get the transmission out of the car to check on its status. I live in Michigan though so Im not sure if that's a bit to far away or not.
  17. Anyone interested in a driver's or passenger's seat in the burghandy color? If so please contact me so I can get some pictures of them and send them out in a post. I have to get rid of the entire car by the end of the summer so any parts needed out of my 1988 white reatta with burghandy interior, please contact me as soon as possible. The CRT works fine and continued to play my cds even after my accident. If interested in certain parts, let me know and I will get pictures of them to show their condition. Email me at pantherts@hotmail.com. Thanks everyone.
  18. I have a 1988 Reatta that was hit in the front right side which I am trying to slowly part out from the inside out so as to keep from exposing it to the elements too much. The interior is in very good shape due to high maintenece by myself over the years. Please let me know if I can help anyone with getting the parts they need for their cars.
  19. If anyone needs a driver's side vent window I have one that is in mint conidition. I sold the passenger side already so that piece is not available. If you are interested please contact me at eswaim@sirus.com. Thanks. -Travis Swaim<p>[ 07-08-2002: Message edited by: ReattaTS ]
  20. Just wanted to let everyone know that I still have my 1988 White/Burghandy Reatta that I need to part out before the end of summer. Im heading off to college come August and need to get it out of the driveway! The car was hit on the front right. You can see pictures at: <A HREF="http://www.angelfire.com/mi/travs/reattapics.html." TARGET=_blank>http://www.angelfire.com/mi/travs/reattapics.html.</A> Please email me if you would like any parts off of it! Thanks for all your help everyone!
  21. Im just not sure since it is in so nice of condition if I should part it out or not! I just am having an extremely hard time deciding here. Tom did stop by and took a look at the car. I loved my car. And I wish I didn't have to rip her apart, this car is in the mid 500's for the number of production. The car itself only has 82000 miles on her. If someone were to be interested in buying the car as a whole, I would be greatly in their debt, for I can't stand to see it being torn apart. Now for the bad news about parting it out, I have come to realize that the workspace in which I am alotted by my parental figures,(hehe) is very small as seen in the photos. Not to mention it is outdoors and it is December 3rd in Michigan and the winter is coming fast. I have the car bundled up under a tarp and car cover. This is why im hesitating on parting it out. I dont want to let anyone down here because I did say I would like to sell the parts. But possibly if some of you would like to make me an offer for the car as a whole, I will be more than happy to consider it. Its just being an 18 year old in high school with a job, I can barely find the time to do anything with the car let alone part her out. My weekends are usually booked and winter is coming all too fast. Thanks Tom for all your support too. Keep in touch please, for I need advice on this matter and Im at witts-end here. I appreciate everyone's interest in this classic car. I would give almost anything to see her driving again. I just do not have the money and need it badly. Thanks everyone!
  22. I now have the picture up of what the drunk driver did to my car. I can't stand to even think about that night. I guess I had better start taking it apart and selling it for what its worth. Now my knowledge is limited but I do have contacts within driving distance including the editor of the Reatta newsletter that might help me out with this. The engine has 82,000 miles on it in case anyone wanted to know. The pictures of my car can be found at: <A HREF="http://www.angelfire.com/mi/travs/pics.html" TARGET=_blank>http://www.angelfire.com/mi/travs/pics.html</A> <BR>Email: eswaim@sirus.com
  23. Well, I have got to get this thing sold by winter everyone. I live in Michigan and the car has only seen one winter and I dont want it to see another, expecially while its in this condition. The front right is completely totalled, and Im posting pictures on my personal site as soon as I can. All electronics still work, even after the accident (Read my other post earlier this weekend). Burghandy interior, but it does not have a sunroof. CRT is perfect, along with all other button panels and displays. Im hesitant on selling parts but will if I have to. I don't want this thing to rust and Michigan winters are not pretty for those that don't know. Please email me at eswaim@sirus.com for any questions about it. Im not too sure what my base price is going to be, but I am open for offers. For pictures of the car keep checking this page: <A HREF="http://www.panther.co-ltd.com" TARGET=_blank>http://www.panther.co-ltd.com</A> <BR>Thanks everyone for all your support. I loved my Reatta and don't want to see it rot outside.
  24. Sorry bout that everyone. The car is currently sitting in my drive way in Grand Haven, Michigan. Grand Haven is located on the west side of the state of Michigan on the lake, directly west infact of Grand Rapids. The interior by the way is all burghandy leather and carpeting. All is still intact and in pretty good condition considering the year.
  25. Tonight at 10:00pm EST, I was traveling on a local roadway at approx. 60 miles per hour. Approaching a bar and grill I noticed as usual on a Friday night, it was packed. Coming toward me was a 1988 Chevrolet S-10 pickup. The driveway for the bar was on my right side and the truck put its turn signal on and cranked hard without stopping across my lane, toward the entry. At the last second I turned hard to the left to avoid the truck and perhaps miss the back end of it. It was two late, even with my foot hard on the break, I slammed into its right-rear side. As I slid to a stop in the middle of the road, partly in the left lane, I saw their tire flying down the road in front of me. I jumped out of the car and was in complete aftershock. I saw the truck gliding into the grill's parking lot and into a parking spot with sparks flying out of the axel dragging on the ground. As they opened their door I realized they were not hurt. Now, Im only 17 here, so don't think less of me for running to the side of the road and bawling my eyes out. I have been in a accident before and had speeding tickets to my name, the thought of losing my licence or having insurance raise higher killed me. I was shaking and couldn't grasp what was going on anymore. A police officer showed up within one minute and checked for injuries and called for backup. Before I knew it, two ambulences, a fire truck, tow trucks, and about 4 police cars showed up. Road flares surrounding my car; I sat in the driver's seat for one of the last times Im sure. Still shaken up I observed all the damage done to my car: Front Right Totalled, Hood crumpled. Engine shut off I think during accident, and the CRT and my cd changer continued to play after all was done. The frame is almost certainly twisted though but no windows broke at all. I layed back and tried to relax but I was just too worked up on adrenaline. After a while the tow truck needed me to get out and I collected all my personal affects in the car and watched with teary eyes as it rolled away. It turns out the other driver had had 3 D.U.I's on her record and this was going to be the 4th. The passanger was also drunk. The driver was put in the back of the cop car; under arrest. Im glad no one got hurt though. The car on the other hand is most certainly totalled and Im looking at this point to sell it to the higest bidder, hopefully before winter. The engine has 82,000 miles on it and ran very good. All windows are intact, along with motors for windows and locks etc. The trunk actuator is bad however. The right plastic fender is broken completely. I don't really wish to part the car out at this time, just to make that clear. This has been the worst experience Ive had now. I have almost certainly lost my licence due to insurance rising and me being put in the "High-Risk" driving category. I can't afford another car at this point and basically am a teenager without a car to drive.(Which(for all you parents)is BAD.) Well, Ive loved being a participating member of this forum, but alas, I guess I won't have much to ask or talk about anymore. Enjoy life everyone...who knows when it could just end. I was seriously taught this tonight in less than a second and I won't forget this. Thanks for all your help everyone.
