  1. Older trend, but only one that I found about changing tires....

    Suggestion-

Look for a place that also changes large truck tires. Ask some local truck or tractor owners. Most of those shops are used to dealing with big tires with rings, split rims, etc. A local shop replaced tubes and flaps on a 1929 Pontiac, with wire wheels and complicated rings for me by the next day. (after I got the supplies).

  2. How about looking for a vacuum leak? that could cause problems. Still would like to know how you determined the exhaust was not the problem. one more thing, you could jack up the back wheels and remove the plugs and use the hand crank to see if there is any drag or binding in the drive train. btw what is the HP of your car?

Enclosed is a few shots of my 1922 Nash. Good luck

    ----------

    I know this is old...

But try replacing points and condenser....Had a car that would just bogg down, no power when it had points/condenser problems.

Hmmm, did they resolve this? Always good to hear the final results.

  3. BJM- Price*: I guess it's easy to blast any prices...and one could go to each ad and make negative comments...

I'm just trying to be helpful to the estate (not mine) with the ads & photos to make this car (and others) available.

Perhaps we can post what the car should be worth.

(not what you want to pay... :-)

I have seen rust buckets at high prices without negative responses. Beauty can only be skin deep for some back east cars (with rust).

Door panels should only take a day or so to install with know how...and someone just might want to hot rod and redo interior anyway.

At least making the car available.

Interior: Note link, that has more photos. *Serious buyers can always have a conversation with estate. Have to start somewhere.

  10. I have a (I think) 1926 era Superior Chevrolet rear axle/drive shaft & a few parts noted. See photos.

These were pulled off of a hillside some 35 years ago and kept in dry storage.

I want to find out if there is any interest in the axle. Located 30 min. North of San Francisco. Perhaps you would just like to comment to confirm possible year.

Just took some photos. Also have a rear fender (sorry for poor image, can pull out and re-shoot if needed) and engine side pan, perhaps a hood side panel. Have a tire carrier around also that looks good.

...tried listing this an hour ago, but seemed to have gone into hyper space...

  11. They made it!

June 9th, 2009 the 100-year anniversary of Alice Ramsey's landmark drive was recreated. The trip began from New York and ended in San Francisco. A month long journey by Emily Anderson driving a 1909 Maxwell DA, restored (built) by her father Richard Anderson. Friend Christie Catania is co-pilot.

This "home movie" YouTube video (not theirs) is a very small segment driving from San Rafael CA to San Francisco, shot July 8th and July 9th 2009.

Click here for Video>:Section of Alice's ride, San Rafael CA to SF

I was lucky enough (or honored) to lead them across the Golden Gate Bridge.

The full trip was professionally documented on video and can be ordered at:

    Alice’s Drive

Visit the site to learn more about Alice's and Emily's stories.

Makes you want to get the old car out of the garage!
