Could be a 29 GP. Note the two rear door hinges above the belt line and the LARGE wheel hubs. Yeah, I think 29. Frank

I got a kit from Auto Performance Engineering. It is still available as PN 300-714S but is not recommended for modern fuels. There is this caveat on their web site: The latest versions of the Walbro bellows kits are made of the same material that they have been made of for the past 20 years or so. That material does not survive long in the newer fuels that contain all kinds of funky additives. Fuels will alcohol in them tend to eat-up the bellows, too. Your initial/previous bellows probably lasted 20 years or so; you should feel lucky of they last 20 months in today's fuels. If your old bellows pump clicks wildly when you put power to it, yet does not flow any fuel, 99 percent of the time it is a failed bellows. You can buy a few bellows kits and rebuild your pump every couple years, or check out the FR Series pumps - they don't have a bellows. Check out their site: https://autoperformanceengineering.com/html/bel_pump.html Frank

What the heck is this and where does it go?

I can't tell the diameter of the roller, but I'll bet the hard rubber ink rollers you find in craft stores might work... You could always turn it down a bit if too large... Frank -
Non Running 1928 Studebaker President - How to drain Coolant?
oldford replied to pdpbison's topic in General Discussion
If worst comes to worst, you could always simply remove the water inlet pipe on the left side of the engine, just above the water pump. two bolts and the whole engine gets drained. Same with the lower radiator hose, remove the hose clamp and drain the whole radiator. Frank -

A photo of the engine from a little farther than 6 inches might help us identify it for you... Frank

The bumper wing guards on the 53 above were factory accessories from Ford and could be bought with or without the curved portion on the outside. When you add the Coronado Rear Deck, the skirts, the outside visor, and the door mirrors, there is not much left to add. A spotlight here or there would add even more bling... Frank

Chauffeur's Ball 1912 Ridgefield, Ct.

The 46 star flag had the two middle rows of 8 stars each. I cannot see two adjacent 8 star rows in the photo. I still think its a 45 star flag set... 46 star flag: -

oldford replied to 1937hd45's topic in Period Photos - Pre WWII
If the photo is truly from 1912, the flags were old. The pattern of stars more closely resembles a 45 star flag used between 1896 and 1908. Maybe the town hall in Ridgefield had old flags... -

Yes, Studebaker, probably a Dictator or Commander 6. Most likely a 1929, although, 29 did not have the windshield visor incorporated into the roof. That's a 1928 feature, to my knowledge. 1928 did not have the cowl vent, so it could be an early series 1929. Since it has a 1930 tag, goes to show even then, some preferred white walls. Frank -

Remy and Wagner systems were offered by Studebaker at the same time. Not sure what forced which system to specific cars. They were interchangeable. Frank

The engine shown is clearly not from a Light Six. The tall Wagner distributor is from a Big Six... Frank

Not to be argumentative, but can you show me the data that supports a statement like this? Sure, we've all seen the statements that tires SHOULD be replaced after 10 years, but to say they are dangerous for ply separation and blow out may be over the top. With all of the miles I have driven since radials came to be here in the States (and I most likely have fewer miles than most) I've never had a blow-out. Flats, yes, blow-outs never. Frank
