  1. Like all of you, I think Hershey Meet week is the best week of the year. I’m especially fortunate to live in the Hershey area, and since I cover the Meet for Antique Automobile Magazine, I get to be there every day and for most of the events. For those of you who aren’t as lucky, I’m going to try something new this year and post photos live on social media. To follow my posts just use the hashtag #aacahershey on either Instagram or Facebook. Look for the first posts to come on Sunday or Monday.
  2. For the fourth year I'll be covering the Hershey Meet for Antique Automobile magazine. I try to keep it fresh and interesting every year, and to help me do that I'd like to hear what you want to see and read in the article, especially if you won't be coming to the show. Are there aspects of the Meet that you'd like to see more of? Less of? Anything new I should cover? This is your magazine, so let me know. Thanks - Greg Czarnecki
  3. I’ve decided to sell my 1973 Dodge Challenger. If you were at Hershey this year, you probably saw it in the car corral, but I’ve reduced the price since then from $22,000 to $19,900. It’s a numbers matching, triple black car that spent most of its life in California. I bought it at Hershey five years ago, and since then it’s appeared in Antique Automobile Magazine and won awards at the Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle for three consecutive years. It underwent a restoration in 2003 that included paint, interior, engine rebuild, electrical components, Auburn Posi, CD changer, and more. I have the
  4. I tried booking a room for the meet in Puerto Rico in March and was told there are no rooms available. They acknowledged that there was a block of rooms set aside for the AACA at a special rate that was avaiable for rooms booked before the end of December, but said there were no rooms available at any rate. Has anyone else been had problems getting a reservation? If so, is there another hotel nearby that we can use?
  5. Steve, Do we need to pre-register for the judging school, or can register that day?
  6. If you're in the Hershey area this Sunday (4/24), and you own a muscle car, bring it to the AACA Museum anytime between 10:00 and 4:00 for the museum's first ever muscle car cruise-in. Each muscle car will receive one free admission to the museum and the special exhibit on early muscle cars called "Thunder Before the Storm" as well as a dash plaque. For more info, contact the museum at 717 566-7100.
  7. AMC made some great muscle cars. I wish we saw more of them at AACA events or even at the local cruise-ins. Any of you folks out there that own a muscle car - AMC, Mopar, Ford or GM or any other marque - should stop by the AACA museum in Hershey this Sunday (4/24). They're having a muscle car cruise-in from 10 till 4. You can come and go as you please, and every muscle car gets one free admission to the museum and a dash plaque. If the rain holds off, it should be a good time.
  8. Steve, I live in Hummelstown. Can I stop by the AACA office in Herhsey and buy one rather than doing it through the mail?
  9. I'm going to the Spring Meet in Johnstown next week to judge for the first time. Does anyone know if there will be any judges classes or seminars on Friday? If so, what are the topics and what time are they held?
  10. I'd like to do my apprentice judging at the Fall Meet in Hershey. To whom should I mail my registration and check for breakfast?
  11. I was supposed to do my judging apprenticeship at the Winchester Meet a couple of weeks ago, but couldn't make it because of a death in the family. Will there be apprentice judging at the Grand National Meet in Montoursville?
