  1. PUI is the vendor for 65 Wildcat seats and door panels. I had all the patterns for PUI; they copied my old ones and they have sold them for the last 10 years. Their "thank you" was a black custom coupe interior and bench seat convertible set. Not bad but my convertible seat was red! I have to recover a brand new seat with the red. https://rpui.com/-Interior-1965-Buick-Wildcat-Custom-White-Front-Bucket-Seat-Covers-65USWC37U
  2. I purchased material from SMS several years ago. They are the only place I could find any NOS material. Ted
  3. Vendor Blues...not too bad, but perfection would need carpet matching the door panels...PUI made the interior stuff so I called them... they are not allowed to sell carpet as there is a shortage and they need all they get for other things. The one I purchased off ebay is the wrong weave. Not a terrible mismatch but need perfection. They do have the vinyl needed for the rear arm rests. I will order that and the extra yardage needed for other projects. SMS has a separate item for sail panels that I forgot(?) to order. They said they could get that out right away. Other orders I have with them are "a long way out". Ahh first world problems!
  4. Looks like you need a heim joint https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Steel-1-4-Inch-RH-Female-Heim-Joint-Rod-Ends-with-Stud,32239.html?sku=1750221&utm_medium=CSEGoogle&utm_source=CSE&utm_campaign=CSEGOOGLE&gclid=CjwKCAjwtcCVBhA0EiwAT1fY73v8KfNK77kn8ih0Z4u0T46UtOnFaCDox_pICDSITQz3p7c7srGJWhoCBtEQAvD_BwE and a rod coupling nut https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-4-in-20-TPI-Zinc-Rod-Coupling-Nuts-822251/204337387?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&&mtc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25H-025_003_FASTENERS-NA-NA-NA-SMART-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-Fasteners_Smart&cm_mmc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D25H-025_003_FASTENERS-NA-NA-NA-SMART-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NA-Fasteners_Smart-71700000080448963-58700006736537816-92700064304424023&gclid=CjwKCAjwtcCVBhA0EiwAT1fY74VsNOxq5G6roObO00PmV944J_AoRKOxNzGMED0WLyRfv1D8DRhh5RoCk6IQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds and a tiny roll pin maybe: https://www.huyett.com/products/fasteners/pins/spring-pins/spc3p-031-0375 and make you own The roll pin just captures one of the balls of the chain.
  5. Car is in the muffler shop. I'm ready to head there for a drive Now I get impatient after 22 years LOL!
  6. Much excitement as the finish line edges closer... As unplanned, the turn signal switch (tilt one on lower steering column) interfered with the clutch pedal movement so that had to be rotated around the steering column. Tight fit in there. If all is well it will go to the exhaust shop later this week. Then back here and to the trim shop! Car can move and stop under its own power now. So close.
  7. Glass is in! Rear package shelf is in! I got word the my upholstery guy is ready to receive the car. His name is Cutter..Darrin Cutter. Great name for an upholstery guy Most of his work is on very top end custom cars. He is an artist with attention to detail the stock interiors never get.
  8. OK, I do not know. I took my 65 Electra apart and do not remember any stainless like this. Any chance it is from a Riv?
  9. Amazing. Yours is the only one Coupe I have seen with a red Deluxe interior. Interesting to see the interior trim around the windows- the Custom would have bright work there. You have the red door locks as well...very nice.
  10. Obviously no horn bar, so I may have to go the fabrication route. Rick Rawls had some made and I think Gene had some made as well. I have ideas
  11. Mark - I have been lucky to find ones that are still in this shape. I just sold 2 bare wheels off last week -one of them was as you describe, like the sheen was gone and it had shrunk a little so the ring around the perimeter was loose. These are something that I might send off. Thanks,
  12. Pretty pleased with finding this wheel recently. Advert on the Facebook, Canada poster... decent price...natch! The wheel was good but I had a little better one in inventory. Shined and viola! The center button in particular is super hard to find. Here, for the first time, my vision of the red dash and wood wheel! Calling interior guy today.
  13. I really did not expect this! Clean and looking pretty good inside. Hoping now for not having to do the short block.
  14. Yes, the "Dearborn" was used in 65-69 for the Heavy Duty 3-speed applications. So it was standard in the GS400. The GS 350 standard transmission was a 3-speed column shift Saginaw. The HD was available in the GS 350 as an option. The Full Size column shifters cars also got this Dearborn unit in 67 - 70. Not that I've seen them, I am just going by the chassis manuals. Pete Phillips has a 70 Wildcat with the Dearborn 3-speed- the A bodiy GS went to a Muncie 3-speed that year.
  15. Engine out! Time to scatter parts to the pros. Carb to Ken in Connecticut Trans & Shifter to Dennis in WV. Driveshaft to Cincinnati Hydraulics and Driveshaft Body to Steve in Columbus. Seats to Legendary in New Jersey.
  16. Right- much more likely to remember some obscure factoid than something useful!
  17. Trying to locate a set of 14" Buick Rally Wheels for a 68 GS Convertible project. Looking for show stopping quality! Thank you. 3rd type-part # 4384134 1968-70 810 N.S.(no stamp) Back Space: 4-3/8" '68 -will not work with disc brakes. Bead type: JK Black, satin
