  1. The fact that it still had the correct original radiator cap is amazing and the cherry on top. If it was missing it would probably never be found.
  2. You should perhaps note if the base is for a 2bbl or 4bbl
  3. The 6.5" are harder to come by as they are 53 only and a little more value. That said, the value isn't much as cores only. I sold a nice driver condition set of 4 a few years ago for $1500. As rough looking cores only my guess would be $100-$150 each.
  4. I think the spindle will have to come off of a Roadmaster because of the AL drums use different ones but would have to check parts book to confirm.
  5. These have great style, really the peak of this era before bodies became more integrated. This one looks very good and original.
  6. If anybody has a room come available at Best Western for Friday, can you please let me know?
  7. Dang, wouldn't mind having this. Unfortunately I don't think I could even stuff it in my garage, if I could otherwise justify it.
  8. Sharp car, but I think it will be lucky to get a bid.
  9. Unless it's an extremely rare and sought after car, not likely to get a spark without any pictures at the very least and some expectations of price. Almost nobody wants to "make offer" and wait an unknown time to maybe or maybe not ever hear anything back. Sorry if this comes off rude, just trying to set honest expectation.
  10. I have come to think of it like this - if you are buying a car as an investment, choose carefully based on potential upside. If you are buying so that you can enjoy driving the car, don't worry if you lose some value down the road as you will have gotten the utility of enjoying it. I had more cars than I had time to enjoy and since they didn't have future upside potential I had to let a couple go. Now I can enjoy the couple I have left and don't fret the future value and I won't be selling anytime soon.
  11. I'll bet original upholstery is intact under those seat covers. They look to just be loosely fitted on and the wrinkles indicate there isn't direct contact with padding.
  12. Saw this one a couple days ago. Looks great just about the way it is to me! The new me is explaining to the old me why I should stop thinking about it. Both of us would much prefer a '54 though.
  13. I have a couple extra ones new, not sure which style, but if you PM with size of yours I'll let you know if I have the one you need, if you want. Not looking to get rich on them.
  14. Both. Most 50's cars have peaked, and the market for most has also cooled down dramatically from the Covid boom. I regularly see cars for prices the old me would have jumped at a few years ago. Almost nobody is authentically restoring them anymore except for the Impalas and some rare gems.
  15. Nice car except for that awful vinyl top treatment.
  16. Wow! Ad has been up awhile. Unfortunately the market for this car is worse than it was 2 years ago and even $25k would have been optimistic then.
  17. I have some nos filters if you are interested, a couple different brands I think
  18. Yes @1957buickjimshould get a notification...a couple years ago he had a complete front and rear floorpan
