  1. I have a friend who is in the club but not very computer literate so I?m asking this Q for him. On a ?56 Buick, on the bottom side of the trunk lid, there is supposed to be some fabric or something similar to it which is glued into the little odd-shaped panels. Now this is under the trunk lid itself, not inside the trunk area. If you know what that material is or what it is called and where you buy it, please reply here. Thanks much!
  2. I have a friend who has what he says is a 1928 Master series engine and transmission for sale. I think he has had them for quite a while and he needs to clear out his field of junk. If you're interested in this combo please reply on this web site and I will put him in touch with you. He's not email conversant so you might send your phone number. Thanks, Steve #3194 life

Someone must want this! Great item for your rec room or garage above your Wildkitty. Item number: 3658687788. Thanks, Steve

  11. I need a power seat part for my 65 Electra 6-way seat. Its the gearnut at the front of the passenger side. Either this one or the one at the back of the pasenger side seat track both raise the seat. My parts manual says all Lesabre, Wildcat and Electra for 1964-66 are the same as well as the 66 Riv. The 4-way seat parts will not fit and the Rivs for 63-65 either. Thanks for your help. Post your replies here. Steve Hartwich #3194 Life.

  14. I understand from local tire dealers this tire hasn't been made for a while. I bought 8 of them about 2 years ago. If anyone knows where I can find a set of this specific tire or where I should look, let me know. I've tried all of the larger internet dealers, TireRack, Tires.com, etc. Thanks! Steve
  15. I'm getting ready to buy fawn colored carpets, insulation and underlayment for my 65 Electra standard interior 4dr hardtop model 48239. Where's the best place to buy carpets that will lay down with a minimum amount of work and not spend a mint? Thanks, Steve #3194 Life.

  19. I'm restoring a 65 Electra standard trim level sedan which I hope to have done in time for Flint. On the floorboard underneath the carpet, carpet pad and silver insulation is a layer of what I call underlayment. Its about 1/8 inch thick, is made of a hard black pressed charcoal type of stuff and has a thicker paper layer on one side. It came off in many chunks so I'd like to know where to buy this stuff so I can put it back on the floorboard when I'm ready to lay the new carpet. Also what do you or suppliers call this layer material? Thanks much!
  20. Thanks for the info MRBUICK. So I guess it must be from about 1947. Do you still have yours?
  21. I have an old bumper jack that was made by the saginaw steering gear div of GM. I would guess its from the 40's or 50's. It has a worm gear type of drive in it. I would like to correspond with anyone that works at or has access to historical information at Delphi Saginaw Division that could date the jack for me. I don't want to sell it. I have photos of the jack and the decal on it for anyone that is willing to help. Thanks much!
