  1. Anytime a vehicle changes classes it is best if the owner contacts HQ so we can explain what happens to any past awards and all options. The 10 year was put into place to keep cars from flip-flopping from class to class. The option to turn in a 1st Junior was new this year.
  2. The rule is, one class change in 10 years. Dan has a 1st Junior, if he wishes he can send back the 1st Junior badge and compete in HPOF or DPC. If he switches to HPOF or DPC he must remain there for 10 years. This is all new for 2013. I haven't had anyone send back a 1st Junior badge, don't know why they would, however I have had HPOF badges come back so the vehicle could be placed in class Judging. Lynn Gawel

  13. West DON"T POKE THE BEAR!!! When I pulled into the parking lot on Monday all 4 were gone! When the boss came in I made SOME SORT OF COMMENT ABOUT MISSING HUBCAPS, he said he took 2 of them off. I informed him the other 2 were missing! He was NOT HAPPY!! I hid in the trophy room the rest of the day with a smile on my face. If anyone driving the Ohio turnpike finds something that looks like a UFO call Steve.

  20. The El Camino you mentioned is the X-Camino owned and built by Duane Heckman. It is not as you described, a Chevrolet El Camino with a Buick GS front clip. It is a Skylark frame that was extended 1 foot. The inside of the bed and just the top of the roof are the only El Camino parts. Everything else is Buick! He used nos 1970 GS fenders, nos core support, nos quarters, the tailgate is from a 70 Sport Wagon. The drivetrain is Buick and the motor is a 455 Stage 1. It took him 2 years and it is the only titled 1970 Buick truck registered in PA. The car resided in my garage and is a beast on wheels! A work of art for sure!
