1. Hey, Good luck finding that radiator. I was lucky enough to get a 65 wildcat 4 dr for parts for my 65 electra. Now I have a Hollander exchage book, and I am curious as to what radiators would match....wish I had this book a few yeasr ago! I tried a couple of places, and was sent the wrong unit. Let us know how you do. Jim
 2. Hi I have done an HEI conversion for my 65 Electra and it works great! Let me know if you want more info. I plan on making up several units and selling them. In process now! Jim
 3. Hey...Im interested but where? Description?? Please more info! Jim
 4. Joni I may be very interested in your electra parts. Is the quarter panel for a 4 dr or 2dr/convertible? I have a 65 Electra 225 Convert. Do you have pics of these parts too? Thanks. Jim
 5. I have a set of rear springs for a 65-66 skylark or other midsize gm. I got them along with my 65 Electra, but they definetly do not belong! (tried them and it became a low rider) See them on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1847699236&ssPageName=ADME:B:LC:MT:1

 7. 38! My Electra is a 1965. Have had many 1960s buicks..Looks like average age so far is in 40s...Nice to see 20 and 30 people too...keeps the interest in the hobby.
Jim
 8. Sorry to hear about your problems. I have a suggestion. If your not using a different fan, try geting a hayden. I put one one my 401, it has mor blades, that flex. My car doesnt have a fan shroud, and it still does not over heat. The factory fan stinks. About the smoke... that doesnt sound good. I hope its just a passing symptom. Try the fan. For $25.00 or so it could be well worth it!
Good Luck
Jim
 9. I have used rockauto. I have good luck so far. Give em a try!
Jim
 10. Hi
I believe i have a front turn signal lamp lens for that car. I also had a 68 Lesabre conv when i was 16... Great car!! Email me. jstorrer@gis.net
Jim
 11. Thanks for your responses guys. The guy on the motorcycle was at fault. Because i have no collision ins, the other guys ins co is paying. They have to asses the damage. I was also told by friends and coworkers not to be bullied by the insurance company. I will keep you all informed and thanks again!
Jim
 12. My 65 Electra conv. was hit, minorly by a motorcycle. Now comes the insurance company fight. Car was not appraised. Damaged front fender behind tire. Still ok to drive. Anyone with similar experiance? I had the car registered as an antique. Thanks for any input.
Jim
 13. 68 Lesabre is a sweet car, though be sure the frame isnt rotted apart. Rear bumpers and frame over the back tire and surrounding area are notorious for rotting out. I had a 68 Lesabre, loved it. I now hav a 65 Electra, and have had to fix frame rot. Be sure its solid before you pony up that kind of bucks.. I suggest 800 or so. Good Luck!
Jim
 14. Hi Fred
Please see my email, I want those rear quarters! Thanks.
Jim
 15. Hi Yellow Lark
Thanks for your reply. Is the MSD ignition as large in diameter as a GM HEI? I am going to make up a modified HEI from a newer GM vehicle to fit the 300 and or 340 engine. Ill have to find someone local to try and fit it in and test it out. I mad up an HEI for my 65 Electra 401 and for a 64 Riv with a 401 both worked great. I may start producing them in quantity for others. Thanks again!
Jim
 16. Anyone with a skylark advise me on this one??
 17. I was wondering how much room in is a skylark special etc to fit a HEI dist. I dont have a Skylark now, though had quite a few about 10 years ago. Is that space tight around the dist??
Jim
[ 02-02-2002: Message edited by: Sled ]
 18. I have the same question also. My 65 Electra is the same way. I replaced the master cylinder with a dual master, and have the same trouble and I suspect it need the booster also.
 19. I have a question about bolting up the steering knuckles from a 72 Electra to a 65 Electra. I want to use the disk brake set up. Are the ball joints the same? I work in a machine shop so modifications are possible as long as its not too extensive. If anyone has any knowledge please post or let me know. Thanks!!
Jim
 20. Hey Dont look down on a two barrel
I put one on one of my 62 electras. It ran great! Seemed to have a bit more zip on the lower end. Used a Rochester. If Justins looking to loose it, I may be interested in it for my 65 Electra Convert.
Jim
 21. I have a 65 Buick 43000 and 44000 chassis service manual for sale or trade. Ill trade it for a 65 Full size service manual or $30. Included is a fuel pump for a Buick 300 engine. email me jstorrer@gis.net
[ 10-21-2001: Message edited by: Sled ]

[ 10-22-2001: Message edited by: Sled ]
 22. Hiya Justin
I have a 65 Electra conv. My gas gauge did act up, but it was the ground wire to the sending unit/tank. Check that out. Corrosion and rust dont help make a good contact. Good Luck!
Jim
 23. Mike
I believe I have a signal switch mechanism that goes in the steering column. The actual switch is at the bottom of the column. Do you need the switch or the mechanism itself? Have you taken off the wheel? Reply here or email me and best of luck.
Jim

quote:
Originally posted by WildcatMike:
Does anyone have a source for a turn signal
switch for my "kitty". Non of the major after
market guys make it and Classic Buicks was not able to help other than to give me a # of a wrecking yard in Oklahoma. Any ideas?
TIA
Mike

 24. I mean that the reservoir at the "back"(toward the back of the car)goes to the front wheels, and the "front"(toward the front of the car) controls the rear wheels. Thats the way Ive arranged mine.
 25. Ertech
The reservoir/connection closer to the booster is for the front wheels, and the one at the back is for the rear.
Jim
