  1. I only got rid of the excess and ones that were not in the best of condition. I do have more of all the parts I mentioned plus others and can be reached at reattas60@gmail.com
  2. Today i am taking a Reatta to the crusher. ( it is a local junk yard and he doesn't care what I add in the car ) Back when I first got into Reatta parts, long before the high priced sellers, I sold my first vent window for $ 1200. I then sold them for $ 850 then $ 450 then $ 250. Last summer I brought some the the BCA national meet for $ 45 and didn't sell any. Today the car going to the crusher will have the vent windows still in it. I am also including in the car about 20 complete parking light assemblies and about 20 console tops. I would include more non selling Reatta parts but the car is full.
  3. The mounting is also different on the Caddys. Reatta fronts have the mounting hole at a right angle to the sensor and Reatta rears have the mounting hold straight off the end of the sensor. 89-90 Cadillacs have the front mounting straight like the Reatta rears. A Cadillac front could be used on the rear of a Reatta but it is also longer than the Reatta. Earlier Cadillacs also used the Teves system but has different mounting sensors. The first picture is of a Cadillac front and the same as a Reatta rear. The second picture is of a Reatta front. The last picture is of an early Cadillac Seville. If a person needs any sensors, I can be reached at reattas60@gmail.com
  4. That was Greg Ross in PEI Canada. He did most of the work while he was living near New Orleans. Haven't heard from him in years but as I remember he got out of Reattas and into sailing. The supercharged 5 speed Reatta got rusty and is probably still sitting in PEI
  5. I have both excellent used ABS sensors and recovered ones. I also have most parts available for Reattas.
  6. I have lots of seat parts. Jim
  7. I have the piece you are looking for. Send me an email. Jim
  8. I don't know of a list of cars in MN but I am in Duluth and have lots of parts.
  9. The tan used in Reattas was a Reatta only color. Some other Buicks did use the same wheel but not this particular color.
  10. This being an old thread I wanted to add that in a different post I have reduced the price to $ 25 each.
  11. I have a very nice Hartz cloth convertible top on the bows with the weather stripping for $ 1400 with free delivery later in March if you are somewhere between Duluth MN and Columbia SC or to the Auto Fair in Charlotte NC. The tan top is in nice condition, fairly new, and the weather stripping is not perfect but very nice condition and it has the heated glass back window. This is the easiest way to put a new top on a car. The whole assembly is held to the body by two or three bolts on each side and the plates are aligned with some roll pins so you simply take your old assembly off and put on the new. The roll pins guide the top into the exact location so there is no alignment necessary. You would then have your old weather stripping as spares or can be sold as weather stripping in in high demand. When the top was on the car the fit was perfect with NO wrinkles. The photos show wrinkles but that is only because it is off the car and was folded up for the last 6 weeks. I have pictures of the weather stripping I can email to an interested party. The top is for sale as shown and I will not sell the weather stripping separately.
  12. I recently sent out a set of spark plug wires for a fellow getting his car ready for judging. The original wires for the '88-90 Reattas were gray in color, numbered and have the name Packard on them.

The original wires for the '88-90 Reattas were gray in color, numbered and have the name Packard on them I have a couple of very nice sets still available for $ 30 and the sets will include the split plastic covering, the metal heat shields for the rear plugs and the small three wire loom on the front set. I can be reached at reattas60@gmail.com

Steve posted in the general forum in BOLD letters the following. Steve Moskowitz Super Moderator Folks, please!!!! Common sense WILL be the rule of the day! We just reaffirmed, tightened up the criteria. Our moderators hopefully will make sensible decisions and maintain the SPIRIT of what we are trying to accomplish with our forums. We will not always be perfect in our decisions but at least everyone now should be clear about what our forums are all about.
  16. I recently picked up three parts specific to convertibles. One is the cable and handle that releases the top from the tonneau cover. These often break and I have two available for $ 65 each. The second part is the clip that holds the tonneau cover up while putting the top down. I also have very good reproductions of these and sell them for $ 40 each. The third is the escutcheons that the seat belt passes through. $ 25 each or $ 40 for the pair. These are tan but can be painted a different color. Send me an email. Jim
  17. Mike, I stopped by there again yesterday as I was looking for a part for my daughters S10 plow truck and see the car is getting pretty well stripped. I also stopped yesterday in their other yard in Peoria and as I was walking through it I was thinking I have been in probably 50 U Pull its around the country and this was the messiest I have ever seen and all the cars were pretty well picked over. After I left you the other day I went to the really junky yard up the street near the water tower and got an IPC for a '90 but have no way of testing it. If you see this post, could you email me your phone number and maybe I can test it in one of your cars? Jim
  18. I have those parts but am in AZ for another week. Jim
  19. The'89 that was my winter driver last winter unfortunately I had to quit driving it at 398,400 miles because a brake line rusted out and wasn't worth fixing to try and make 400K since I had a red '89 ready to go for this winter. Anywaaaaaaay, That car the ABS worked almost all the time but sometimes would bring in a main valve code. I could have changed the main valve easily as it it right on the front of the master cylinder but never did. If the yellow light was on when I left my driveway, I would go a mile to the next stop sign and shut off the key, pump the brakes about 6 times and then restart the engine and be on my way. The yellow and red lights would be on and a few hundred feet down the road they would go off and I had ABS.
  20. Ronnie, Good thought on the leaking vacuum from the cruise hose. You are also right on the pump being different on the '88s. Dante's car is an '89 so he cannot use the pump/motor from an '88 on and '89-90 but he can put on the whole system. I have seen this done a few times. Dante----- The pumps will run even with a pump or two as the pressure drops and even though the red and yellow lights might not come on the pressure drops and the pump brings it back up to about 2600 pounds. These pumps are fluid pumps and will not work if there is air in them. This is why when replacing a pump it will need to be bled before it will work. It is recommended that the brake fluid be changed about every five years but at this point it will not solve your problems. i would hold off changing the fluid until you find the solution to your problems as you may end up changing the fluid a second time. Wal Mart fluid is cheap and the correct fluid.
  21. I went back yesterday and got the top assembly and the drivers side door panel. I have a person that can bring them to MN in February..
  22. I was at a junk yard in Phoenix today and there is a very nice Reatta convertible there with a very nice tan top. The weather stripping was pretty good also. I am sure this whole assembly could be purchased quite cheaply. $ 100 or less for a nice top is a pretty good deal. Take out a couple of bolts and get a nice top, framework and weather stripping. When I moved the drivers seat forward there was the complete portfolio with the pen, tire gauge and flashlight. The yard is the U Pull & Pay at 2501 W buckeye rd in Phoenix There was also another convertible in the U Pull on Broadway but a nasty car and picked over.
  23. Chuck, Get a hold of Ed Farnell. He gets up there occasionally and also know several people in that area. Jim
  24. The part you are looking for is called a carpet retainer. I do have these available. Jim
  25. I recently acquired the remaining stock of convertible visor clip from Kingsley and now have more clips that there are convertibles. I am reducing the price to $ 25 per clip with a limit of 2 per person with possible some exceptions. Jim
