Looking for application info for this brake cable: Napa United 91865. Overall length about 50-1/2". The part number suggests early 50's. Not in the quick reference catalog for passenger cars so it might be truck. Thanks!
-
No, but if I posted a picture its other side it would explain.
-
Thank you! Somehow I expected it fit a truck or van and was looking in all the wrong places.
-
This is 10" long and 5-1/4" wide. It's stamped stainless and has 4 mounting holes. Anyone recognize? Thanks!
-
I would expect brake light switch to be normally open, and close the circuit when depressed. This is opposite.
-
With the plunger released, as pictured, the circuit is closed. Depressing the plunger opens the circuit.

Casting number is 1479536 and RH. Number puts it 1963-1964 if Cadillac. Anyone recognize where it goes? Thanks!
-
Never identified applications, but found some interchanges including Ford 7EQ-7561, -A. Still have it so let me know if you need more info.
-
It probably has other applications, but that is all I could find.

If the number is 1873759, which it appears it could be, then it fits the following distributors: 1110031, 1110032, 1110048, 1110067, 1110168
-
It very likely does fit something newer. My Wohlert list only goes up to 1965. If you do a google search on "flywheel ring gear 104 teeth" you will find some other possible fits, including IH and Farmall tractors.
-
104 is the number of teeth. The prefix and suffix give additional info. If it was Wohlert brand S in the prefix indicates standard width of 11/16". G prefix is not in my Wohlert info. SBF suffix indicates "special undersized gear, special bore, chamfered front". My list does not have a 104 gear with the SBF suffix. Closest match is Wohlert S-104-F that is used on 1929-1933 Chevrolet.

The casting number 3064776 crosses to GM part 3070421 which was used in the 70's and 80's across all GM brands.

Casting number on part is 8609540 C. I suspected it is GM, but the only auto related hit on google is for a Volvo steering box and no images came up. Anyone know exactly what it is and what it fits?
-
Everything seems to match, except possibly the width of the notches for hold-down clips. On mine the notches are 0.33" wide. Could you compare with your part, plus the other dimensions in my original posting. Thanks!
-
Thank you for your response Peter! Is the interchange supported by catalog data, or image matching only?
-
No luck with my interchange lists or with google. Anyone have Wizard (Western Auto) catalog or interchange? Approximate dimensions: OD 2.45", ID 2.16 ", Height 1.70"

Thanks for your insight! It was in a box lot, and I've since identified some of the parts as Olds, or other GM; however I don't think this is a GM piece. I'll show it to some friends who are more familiar with Studebaker and Linc-Merc. Fuel door was one my guesses too, and I searched google images with no success. Also thought it might be a grille center to mount an emblem, or maybe a delete plate or access plate for an instrument panel.

Measures about 5-1/4" x 4", and is "folded" at the centerline. Casting number XO-1807 on back, along with Dohler-Jarvis logo.

Right and left inner fenders that fit all 1946-1948 Super and Roadmaster models. Appear to be early takeoffs---they are very clean and solid. $450 for the pair. Might separate if no interest in the pair. Parts are available for pickup near Allentown PA. If you require shipping I can refer you to a local service.
