  1. Try www.inlinetube.com. They can make or have made fuel and brake lines for many cars. If you have an original line in good condition they can duplicate, in stainless or steel. The made brake lines in stanless for my 40 Buick, sent them originals and they were a perfect fit. Worth the money. Jim Schilf
  2. airbrushguy. I would be interested in those 39 Century Rims. How many do you have? Any pictures? Jim Schilf palbuick@aol.com

  7. Finally got into garage and found ring and pinion gears for the 1934-35, 40/50 series. The ratio is 4.33 - 1 , made by Republic gear. Checking parts book seems to be standard, not positive though. Jm Schilf palbuick

  11. Probably just a bearing. If I am correct the 48's still had babbited bearings, and if one or two are bad, this coluld be a major rebuild job. Easiest would be to change to bearing inserts. Jim Schilf palbuick

    54 Woody

Now that we know that it is a 1953 for sure. Look closely at the picture of the motor parts, that is a std shift trans, 3 speed for a small series, 53 straight eight or a 54 264 v8. There is about 30K + in wood work alone. Could be classified as a Tijana(???) Taxi. Jim Schlf palbuick

  24. My favorite car was my second car. It was a 1951 Olds 98 convt. What a boat, weighed in around 5K, Leather interior, power windows and seat. After putting duals with smittys it was so loud, unable to sneak out of the house at night. Had more tickets in my wallett. With a 4 bbl carb it one fast tank. My 54 Buick Special with 3 speed trans comes in second. Jim Schilf palbuick

No teling my new wife about the car. Well I still have the same car and the same wife, 46 years later. I have had a lot of cars since then but still have my 40. I have managed to collect about 95 0/0 of NOS parts for the car, just need the ambition to finish. Jim Schilf palbuick
