  1. Hi all, maybe someone can help me with the bumper jack fixing spring on my 1955 Buick. I can mount the lift behind the spare tire, but I don't want it to come loose while driving. I am looking for the small red spring shown in the attachment. It looks like a perfect solution for me. Where can I find it? Thanks for answers.
  2. Hello, thanks for the help everyone. During my searches I found out that weather seals for doors have an earlier and later time classification. The earlier seal has a metal addition the later one is just glued on ( no metal tab ) Unfortunately there is no date or chassis number given as to when the change is from. Where can I find information on this?
  3. Hello all, I hope someone can help me with the door seals on my 1955 Buick 46R. Both doors are missing the rubber seals ( they came off when they were painted and only have small pieces left ) and I would like to replace them with new matching ones. Who should I buy them from? I've been looking on ebay for some sellers but I'm not sure which one to buy according to the old part number ( 10.694 ). I can see small drill marks in some places on the doors but I don't see any places for metal lugs to attach the seals. I've been looking through some open front door photos on the internet, but I've seen several different gasket attachments there as well. I'd be very interested in fitting the gasket marked "B" in the attachment, because I don't see where is the place. Any help is much appreciated. Ruddy
  4. Thanks again very much for your help NC-car-guy. I have now been able to buy the spring I was looking for from your first link. (The seller is back from his vacation ) Regards
  5. Thank you NC-car-guy for your quick help. I want to buy this exact item, but the seller is on holiday and PayPal won't let me pay. I have to wait a while for it. Thanks
  6. Hello everyone, I was wondering where I could get the spring you see in the picture? This spring is used on the rear wheel brake of a 1955 Buick Special. I am looking for the part marked with an "O" in the picture from the manual. I hope someone can help. Thanks
  7. Kedves Rusty, nagyon köszönöm az értékes linket. Ezért csodálatos egy ilyen fórum tagjának lenni. A jövőben felvesszük velük a kapcsolatot.
  8. Hi everybody, We are about to overhaul the car's engine. The engine is weak, eats oil etc. We do not yet know whether the engine has been previously rebuilt After disassembly I can only give the dimensions. Which engine parts company should I contact for pistons, rings, crank bearings, etc..? I hope someone can help. Thanks
  9. Hi, I'm looking for 1955 buick bumper jack. Do you have in your items?
  10. Thanks for the reply John, how can I measure the coil? Should I measure at 6 or 12 volts? 1955 is marked on the clock case.
  11. Hello, I just disassembled one of these clocks from a 1955 Buick. I did everything as krinkov58 described. The oc oscillator worked fine with the square winding arm wound up smoothly. I repeated the operation several times. Everything seemed to be fine. However, as soon as I put it under power ( I tried 6 or 12 volts ) unfortunately nothing happened. Under power it does not work. What could be the problem ? ( I have cleaned the contact points ) What can be done with it ? Hope someone can help. Thanks
