  1. Definitely a pet peeve of mine, most annoying thing at all swap meets. Especially when a vendor has everything thrown around looking like a dollar pile, but then ask a fortune$$$ or when they tell you to make an offer and they get pissed at the fair offer presented. If they take a few minutes to mark with pricing, they would see their sales increase.
  2. Majority 1930s 1940s Ford GM Sheetmetal, Headlights, Fog Lights, Grills, etc Had all parts marked with price and was willing to negotiate with buyers.
  3. Have been vending at Carlisle the past few years in the North Field. We had a good problem this year that sales were so well that we called it a week Friday Afternoon since inventory was low. People were buying Tuesday through Friday. Thursday was one of the busiest days ever with the aisles still being full late into the afternoon.

  7. Completely agree with everything you stated! Can't wait to see how anyone can disagree.
  8. I do skim through every page of a magazine looking for something of interest just like flea market spots. I look at plenty of spots that I know most likely won't have parts I am looking for but at least you know there is a chance. Would you buy that magazine if there are multiple blank pages or the same repeated photo over and over? Just like the empty spaces and vehicles parked that don't support any flea market vendor. At least I know there is a chance of finding something when there are items out for sale to look at it.
  9. I'm referring to the vehicles that are currently parked in the fields without items for sale and nobody nearby. Or a canopy set up with just a few people sitting underneath or the container that was in 2 spaces just for items to be loaded in. I know you all feel like I am attacking an event you been attending for longer than I have been alive but I would like to attend Hershey as long as you all have but if changes aren't made, It might be harder to bring in a new demographic to keep the event and hobby alive.
  10. I'm sure some FL residents didn't attend and counted towards some of the empty spaces. Hopefully next year we see an improvement but it's been getting worst year over year.
  11. I'm not disagreeing that it is that way but you can tell by walking the swap meet that too many people are not using the space properly or just not showing up! As mentioned above, $360 for 4 spots or $90 a spot. So if you attend multiple days at $20 parking per day, why not just buy a spot to park in if not being enforced.
  12. A vendor who has a reserved assigned spot, prepaid in advanced. Ability to have the same spot year over year. A vendor who has spots kept specially for that particular person. Have to be paid by a certain date or is open to the general public/waiting list to reserve the spot for their use. Does that clarify?
