  1. On another thread, someone mentioned that the floor brackets for the inner feet are there to provide floor reinforcement, as it is not a good idea to just bolt the inner feet to the bare floor. Also, the brackets possibly provide some leveling between the the inner and outer feet? Not sure if that is true, still hoping that someone will post a picture of a floor from a car with the bucket seats removed.
  2. Here are the 66-72 GM A body brackets: https://www.opgi.com/interior-accessories/seat-accessories/grand-prix-seat-mounting-brackets/seat-bracket-bucket-1966-72-gm-a-body-set-c240658.html
  3. Thanks JZRIV. I do have the large floor section with the hump for mounting the console shifter. I had someone cut that out of a 68 GS Riviera that had a console. I also have a shifter that has the complete linkage which was very difficult to find along with complete factory wiring harness for the console and shifter. The bucket seats that I have came from another 68 Riv that had been installed in an Oldsmobile. I was hoping someone out there had a 68 Riv (where the bucket seats and console are gone) are getting ready to scrap and try to get the floor brackets cut out of it. I know GM A body repop bucket seat floor mounting brackets are available, but I don’t believe they have reproduced these for Rivieras. I was hoping that I could buy the floor sections with the brackets from someone getting ready to scrap a 68 Riv. Also, I assume, but didn’t know for sure, are the mounting brackets the same for 66-69 Rivieras?
  4. I Would like to convert 68 Riviera with a bench seat over to the factory bucket seats. Do the bucket seats require floor mounted brackets (brackets that are welded to the floor) in order to install the factory bucket seats? If so, would anyone have pictures of this setup?
