  3. Do the buttons move physically or are they frozen? Or just don't engage?
  4. The United Motors (Delco) radio pb's were set by tuning to a station manually and then pulling on the individual one until fully extended and the pushing it in. You can pull it out and then tune and push it it. It will work the same. This is provided they are not frozen. Bill N
  5. First have any modifications regarding voltage been done to the car? That is; is kit still 6 v? You're going to have difficulty finding parts for the head unit to restore as original since it's been stripped unless you find a replacement. A lot to consider although the console part is there as well as what it will take to get that part of it working.

  8. For about $10 or $12.00 you can replace with a new one. It's just a transformer for the spark. BN

  11. Basically there is just one wire the power and a plug for the speaker. 6 volt positivbe ground where negative side of the battery feeds power to it. The case and chassis is the + side of the battery. If it has a mechanical vibrator in the radio + or - doesn't matter. If the vibrator is solid state you could blow it by reverse poolarity.

  15. Unfortunatel it was realized that that this one cannot have newe electronics installed. Saw the wrong radio intially.
  16. I have one that's a non working one for a filler. It's actually made by Alpine for Mercedes which it says Mercerdes on the radfio. Here's a picture of correct radio.
  17. Your original radio can have new electronics installed so the look and fit does not change. In addition if interested in the modern features such as Bluetooth and USB the can be installed along with the main board. They have been done to many Blaupunkts of that time frame.   18. Got them from Ray Hollnd retired Chevy radio tech advisor. What they came off not known. Measure up what will fit your radio.

  20. Originally an 8 ohm speaker 5 x 7. Now available in 4 ohm single dvc and dual cone for conversions. Single is actually 4 1/2" cone mounted on a 5 x 7 plate. Wattage depends on what you're doing with the radio. Original was maybe 25 watts. Contact me for more info: billtheradioguy@gmail.com

  22. New electronics can be installed without changing the physical fit or appearance. Dealing with the old electroics is becoming a thing of the past with T & C radios as well as the Wonderbar (Delco) radios. The plus side with new electronics is you get am fm and other features like Bluetooth to pair your phone with and straem also the ability to charge your phone and play a thumb drive. I am a dealer for Aurora Design (tech-retro.com)and many classic enthusiats are doing this to preserve look.
