  2. Sorry for the delay to mount the pump i must depress the arm a bit so I do know it’s on the correct side of the cam but thanks studeboy all new fuel line I know I’m good there
  3. fellow studebaker lovers does anyone out there have the original part number for a fuel pump on this 1932 rockne model 65? i am still at a loss as to why i can't get fuel to fill the fuel pump bowl, but if i put a hose in a gas can and pump it manually, it will fill the bowl. the lobe on the cam is intact, so my thinking is i have the wrong pump. i got another one off of ebay, but if the arms are incorrect i obviously didn't fix the issue. please let me know if possible. thanks to everyone taking a look at this post
  4. Thanks jfranklin something strange probably with the lobe
  5. Yes the pump does run off the cam lobe the lobe is there and intact could it be overly warn maybe the arm appears to be correct it is making contact with the lobe
  6. hey fellow studebaker lovers, has anyone ever run into this. i'm attempting to get this rockne running for the first time in 25 years. i can manually pump fuel into the carb, and it will run for a short time. i pulled the pump off, and ran a line into a gas can. i was able to fill the bowl by pumping the fuel pump. but back on the vehicle, i get no fuel flow. really excited to hear it run for even a few seconds, but something still wrong. was thinking about an electric fuel pump. anyone out there have any experience with these or any other ideas? you guys are always great, and i do thank you for any feedback. joe koch

  13. gary it turns out someone had done a bad job on this kingpin in the past. the machine shop rebored it and replaced the bushings. the pin itself was reusable. he thinks the problem was that it was not bored correctly. no play at all and seems to be free. i am happy thanks for all the post joe
