For Sale: 1972 Fiat Dino 2400 project car
Tom999w posted a topic in Automobiles and Parts - Buy/Sell
Very rare car, complete except for engine and transmission, has typical Dino rust on underside (rockers, rear quarter bottoms, battery box, one small hole in floor). Located in Livingston Manor New York 12758, rolls and steers easily, comes with bill of sale because cars in New York don't have titles before 1973. Selling for best offer closest to $10k. preferable contact to email at tom999w at gmail . com -

I hate when cars get destroyed like that. When I decided to sell my rare Crosley Farm-O-Road I contacted the president of the National Crosley club and told him I'm only selling the car to someone who will restore and save it. He found me a great buyer who was looking for one for years, who is restoring it and will show it at the Crosley National show. I was very happy to sell it to him and know that the car went to a good home...

Anybody know what year and model this '20's car is?

It may be possible to find out if that's the same car... -

I'll bet the Kaiser Frazer Nash club has the production numbers. I just looked at their March 2022 newsletter and they seem well organized.. -
That picture was actually taken in my backyard, I've lived in Golden Colorado until covid hit. I've recognized the sunburst brick house in the background. This photo is now of the new Central City police station and city hall. Note how the gold mine is now hidden behind city hall....

I've owned and ridden big bikes and small bikes, but my favorite is the 2000 Kawasaki Super Sherpa 250cc... Small, light, very basic, holds a passenger, super reliable, digital dashboard, and with on/off road capability... Light enough to pop-start if the battery is dead, fast enough to keep up with traffic, small enough to lift over logs and railroad tracks when making new trails... -

I'm pretty sure people buying restored 1968 Broncos for $500,000 will fade pretty quick too. The only bad thing to this is that every person who has a broken down bronco in their field is now listing them for sale for $40,000.... -

Wow. What year was that, 1985? -

About ten years ago I bought a basket case in boxes 1965 BSA Thunderbolt REAL old school (not new to look old school) chopper, and sent it to famous chopper builder Jano to get put back together in "as chopped in 1968" condition. It had a hard tail, non-sprung seat, sissy bar, ape hangers, suicide shift, no front fender, skinny front tire, Joe Hunt magneto, slipper pistons, black/green/orange chameleon paint on the tank (new), kick start only, no turn signals, horn, etc... Wow, what a fun bike to drive. It was more of a conversation piece than anything... -
The engine may be too, it was all there, from air cleaner to oil pan...

Hmm, the pictures are too small and not loading correctly.... I'm trying to resize them now...

I remember seeing this car sitting in the same location back in 1986, and it still hasn't moved. Sad end to a nice car... Forest finds are always exciting to find. It makes you wonder who bought it new, and how it came to end up in the forest...

Very nice pictures... -
Wow, what a waste of a beautiful car. The chances of this car lasting for another 73 years is zero. From here it will get chopped up more and more by each consecutive owner to meet their tastes, until it finally gets junked or parted. It's sad...

I've never been to any of these show locations but prefer the working-mans car over classic high dollar and brand new cars in a show. The AMC pacer or Nash Metropolitan is just as much a part of automotive history as a bespoke Deusenberg.

Does anyone know how many Sears Allstate cars exist today?
Tom999w replied to Tom999w's topic in General Discussion
Hmm, maybe the Allstate is climbing in popularity due to covid, supply chain issues, exploding real estate sales, Biden's blank check spending, and Russia once again invading another country... It's the perfect storm that will instantly make this a six-figure car... All we need is one to sell on BJ or Mecum for $100k, and then money vultures all over the internet who typically scour the country looking to buy old Mustangs and Camaros will soon switch over to flipping Allstates... -
