Rich, I found your info from back in 2017 when you were restoring your 1926 DB. Thank you for all of the details. I was able to see the seal dimensions in your photos and have a seal on order. Thanks to people like you that have done this effort and provided so much detail that people like me can learn and reuse. My DB27 is not a show car and I won't be restoring it but I wanted a older dodge I could tinker with and drive. After I replace the seal, I won't be leaving a drip trail. Thanks again to everyone. V/r, Brian

Nat / Jack Gentlemen, Thank you for your input. I was able to remove the seal retainer and assembly. The inside dia. of the is very close to 1.88". The seal outside dia. is 3.328". The seal height is .484". The outside retainer dia. is 3.431". I was able to find info on when Rich restored his 1926 DB. He used a seal with the following dimensions, DL 45mm x 85mm x 10mm. He was able to still use the outside retainer. I may have to fit up the pinion seal nut. Thank you again for the inputs. V/r, Brian

Rich Just seen this post of you DB 26 restoration. I now understand how you converted to the modern seal as well as setting up the rear end. Thank you very must for your details. V/r, Brian -
Rich, I understand your fix, but can you provide any additional details. Part number/manufacture of the seal used. I removed the pinion assembly ang it looks like a pressed in seal is installed on this assembly. This is from my spare rear end that came with the car. I have not tried to remove the seal. Any thoughts?

Tom, Thank you for the quick response. The Gast Four is alittle different but it clarifies the actions necessary to remove the horn cable for replacement. V/r, Brian -
Can anyone provide or point me in the right direction on how to dissemble the steering wheel to replace the horn wire through the center of the column. Thank you Brian

Thank you for the timely reply. I thought the same as you identified. I don't believe I am that skilled to fabricate a Victory six taillight so I will have to try to pick one up in Hershey next October. Your lights look fantastic. Thank you again. V/r, Brian
