  1. y It is a matter of perspective I suppose. Especially when you start off at different states of condition when you find them. Compared to mine, his car is absolutely pristine. Of course I still wouldn't trade mine for any of yours, because it is mine. The previous owner of my car loved it for 55 years until the time of his death in 2020. It was the car he and his wife used to go on their honeymoon in 1965. His widow only sold it to me because I made a promise to get the car back on the road. Now it's my turn to make her beautiful again. Of course it will never be as beautiful to you as your cars are, because they are your cars. But I can assure you, a car does not have to beautiful to be treasured. I only hope I can make that wonderful lady smile when she gets to see it all dolled up and rolling down the road again. I hope my dad will be able to see it completed before he passes. And that someday my grandson will be able to drive it. Thank you to the Tarvin family for trusting me with your family treasure. "Miss Betty" will always be a treasure to my family as well.
  2. Still looking for that radiator shell. Does anyone have any leads? Please help.
  3. Can you email me at jfoster005@gmail.com. According to the AACA forum, I don’t have enough content to pm anyone yet.
  4. Really need a Plymouth Model 30U radiator shell and just about anything else I can find to make Miss Betty roadworthy again. Repop running boards, front seat, front window frame, interior window and door handles, roof materials, bumpers, etc. I have her engine running and the transmission seems ok, but don't have a way to mount the radiator without the shell. Any parts for sale to fit this car will be considered. Can't guarantee I'll buy them, but I'd certainly like to know what's out there and where they are. I am located near Alexandria La.
  5. Hello there, I'm only about 4 1/2 years too late replying to this post, but I really need a radiator shell just like the one you have for sale here. Please let me know if by some miracle you still have this radiator shell, or if you know where I might find one. I live in the State of Louisiana, USA. Jude
  6. I have been unable to find an original radiator shell. I was fortunate enough to locate an original radiator, hood and fuel tank in Florida. I just got in from offshore today. I am looking forward to seeing if the fuel pump you sent me arrived yet Tom. Does anyone know if there are other radiator shells that will fit over the original Plymouth radiator, like a Ford model A around the same year for instance, or an aftermarket metal or fiberglass reproduction? For now I’m just trying to get it rolling again around the neighborhood.
  7. Thank you for the information. It will be helpful if I do go electric.
  8. You can reach me at jfoster005@gmail.com. I do not know how to private message on the aaca website.
  9. My rear spring hangers are out of sorts also. I was able to find an original hood, radiator, and fuel tank in Florida this week. Does anyone have any closeup pictures of how the radiator and hood are mounted? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions you can provide. My car needs pretty much everything.
  10. Is there a later model fuel pump that will work on a 31 model 30U? I am thinking about going with a low volume electric fuel pump since the originals are so rare and expensive. Also, will a Ford grill shell fit around an original Plymouth 30U radiator? I live in central Louisiana and it seems like most of the Model 30U parts are up in the Northeast United States. The same with master cylinders. I have a barrel type and can only find the more rectangular type listed for a ‘31.
  11. Great looking cars all around. I am the proud owner of a recently purchased 31 Plymouth model 30U. I came across this thread and wonder if any of the authors are still active.
