  1. at about a 45-65 degree angle the ohm meter reads about 9 ohms. should work.
  2. ive never had that issue before, even then, i dont drive it in winter so it doesnt matter much
  3. i figured it outz it gives ground. i simply need a socket with an external ground wire to route to it. i want a trunk light in my '57 ford fairlane, and figured a '61-65ish ford truck dome light would work perfectly, mounted on the particle shelf, with this as the switch to give ground.
  4. it only has one wire, does it switch ground?
  5. does anyone know what this is? it was listed as a mercury switch. if anyone knows what this actually is that would be helpful. : )
  6. Where are you located? I might know a guy who loves cadillacs.
  7. Oh im aware of old men being wary of selling, and often wanting too much for a rough shell. The owner of my '57 wanted 5k for it, and his son talked him down to 1k. I wish i knew a classics junkyard for fords, i need several parts for a '57 that arent usually for sale on the internet. The only classics junkyard near me is astro salvage by newark ohio. Off topic my carb isnt even for a y block, a holley 2300 its for a mercury 383 two barrel, meaning its making close to double the cfm of the original 225cfm 2300... lucky find i guess, gonna have to give it a little advance i guess?
  8. Ran the numbers, its off of a 1959 Mercury 383, 350-400 cfm... didnt expect that from a two barrel.
  9. ...and its upside down, its got a weird stacked d/3•6097
  10. I love when manufacturers remain consistent with part numbers.
  11. What a shame... they're going to be rotten junk if he doesnt sell some of the savable ones.
  12. If they hoard too much who will notice a wiper motor or small trim piece dissappearing? (Joking of course leave peoples stuff alone)
  13. That looks extremely complicated and extremely expensive.
