  1. Hey Peter…do you know where I could find either distributor: All 1916-18 Ahrens-Fox 4 cyl. used Delco Distributor # 5131 with cap # 11644 (also used on 1914 Cadillac) All 1919-25 Ahrens-Fox 4 cyl. used Delco Distributor # 5200 with cap # 14335 (unique)
  2. Hi Mike - did you have to take the timing cover off to get the shaft out. I can’t get the shaft out here and wanted to know if the cover has to be removed or not.
  3. Any suggestions on lubricating? This in particular is pretty dried out. Appears to be grease but I’m sure none of it is making it down to the shaft.
  4. Thank you everyone! Tom and I spoke and think we have a fix for the cap. We have had the unit a while so not sure when the distributor may have been changed out…sometime over the years I’m sure. Peter you mention the contact arm also…I’m assuming this was put it at some point as well. Any leads on the correct contact arm…or even the correct distributor itself? Also, contact info if possible.
  5. Need help finding this cap…it’s on a 1917 Ahrens Fox 4 cylinder. Not sure it’s the same as the one listed for the 1916 above. No markings found so trying to narrow it down.
  6. Looking for a cap and rotor for 1917 Ahrens Fox 4 cylinder. It’s a Delco system but not sure if this cap was the original, can’t seem to find it anywhere.
