  1. thanks - it's nice compliments like this that make all of the effort worthwhile! Vince
  2. Thanks for posting this great picture. Now that we have all "rested up" from a very busy Glidden Tour week, as well as a few days in Hershey, I'm pleased to report that we should shortly have available on the NJ Region AACA website a complete photographic report on the week's activities. As I'm sure that the folks on the tour noted, we had a very busy team of photographers who pre-planned out great places to take pictures of the cars and people on tour. Chairman Dan has prepared a set of 472 PowerPoint slides that will be available for downloading, hopefully before the end of this week. Those that attended the dinner, were treated to a preliminary version of these slides. Also, Yvonne is writing up an article for Antique Automobile as well as the Bulb Horn that will fully cornicle the weeks activities. She will surely included a list of the three trophy winners, including the fact that Steve and Sherry Williams Cadillac won a Cloisonné for being on it's first Glidden Tour, as well as the Glidden Trophy. Everyone was rooting for that Cadillac to complete the week - and it did! Thankfully, it waited until it was being loaded on the trailer to brake a shackle which surely would have taken it off of the road had it happened earlier. Thanks for joining us in NJ for the 76th Revival AAA Glidden Tour! Vince DeLisi, Chair
  3. Thanks - we have collected a variety of wonderful stories - some short - and some much longer. There will be a booklet with all of them at our closing banquet, and the file will be shared with Antique Automobile and the Bulb Horn, in word, so it will be easy for the editors to decide if it warrants a larger audience. Vince
  4. To All, Our planning continues. We're inviting all past Glidden attendees to send me a note with your best "Glidden Memories". Our intention is to use them to enliven the Glidden Gazettes and if we get enough of them, the intention is to print them up into booklets to be distributed at our closing banquet and then posted, as appropriate on the AACA and VMCCA websites so that a "memory bank" can be created and maintained. Please send me your story! Vince (vincentdelisi@comcast.net)
  5. Hi Paul - thought I had your email address - but I don't. My dad had a similar issue a few years ago in that one of his knees "became loose" and was infected. The plan was to replace the entire joint. However, he insisted that they only replace the part that failed. His surgeon finally agreed. The advantage was it reduced the recovery time since both ends of the joint did not need to be touched, and removing the "good side" is not easily done. It was harder for the surgeon since amazingly, at least in his case, all knee parts were not interchangeable. What the surgeon had to do was have several potential replacements ready to go so that the "right" part could be installed. Hope that you are able to recover quickly - as I agree if you can't drive them, might as well collect clocks (which we also do!). Vince
  6. Hi Paul, Understand - I'm going to send an email shortly. Vince

  8. All - thought you might like to see the shirt we have chosen for this event. It's from "Port Authority" and is of very fine quality. Please consider purchasing a shirt as noted on the application.
  9. Yes - we're planning on using public transport. There is a light rail line that goes down the Delaware that should work well, so no-one will need to drive in Camden. All of our cars will be safely parked at the museum for the day. Vince
  10. Yes we do - but we're not releasing that information until the applications are received. Vince
  11. I'm pleased to advise that the "trifold" further describing our plans will be up on the NJ Region AACA website https://njregionaaca.com/ as well as National's website shortly. Please check it out! Vince
  12. Also - we will have a booth at the annual meeting, where ever it may be held. Trifold and application will be available at our booth - and then shortly thereafter on the AACA and VMCCA websites. Vince
  13. I'm pleased to advise that we are making excellent progress to be sure that The NJ Region produces the best Glidden experience ever. Tour planning is well underway, as are our plans for a fantastic barbeque for our opening banquet. Please plan on joining us in NJ on September 25, 2022.
  14. The New Jersey Region AACA invites you to join us for the 76th Revival AAA Glidden Tour which will be held in the Princeton, NJ area the week of September 25, 2022. As they become available, more details will be posted on our website: www.njregionaaca.com. This tour is limited to automobiles that were produced up to 1942. We're planning to travel "New Jersey's Revolutionary Road" and visit numerous sites in NJ and the Delaware Valley that were important to the War for Independence. Thanks for your interest!
