  1. So the tyre on the car in the picture is not period correct? What kind of tyre is that then?
  2. I have just bought a 29 Chevy and am looking to replace its worn out tires. Wherever I look, be it Lucas or Coker tires, I can only find whitewalls or very heavily threaded tires that have a lot of ugly brand markings on them at this size. I am looking for something that is clean, near slicks with minimal markings, something like the tires on the car below which is similar to the one I bought. Note the tires in the picture have no whitewall, minimal straight aligned thread that does not go over the edge of the tyre. At the bottom of the post is a Firestone one that I do not want to buy as it has aggressive thread that goes over the edge of the tyre. On this car on the other hand, is an example of what I am looking for. Perfectly neat with minimal / straight thread and no whitewalls. But I cant see they have any brand on them? Anyone know where I can buy a tyre that looks like this at 475x20? Basically what I want is a clean slick tyre that as much as possible looks like the inflatable inner tube and has minimal thread, markings and no whitewalls. As a further example, on the link below and the picture of the Firestone one is the kind of tyre I do NOT want, it has overly excessive thread that goes along the edge of the tire, making it look like a bicycle tyre: https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/475-500x20-lucas.html
