  1. I believe it to be a HAYNES. No idea of year. Last year for the Haynes was 1924.
  2. Hi Wayne, thank you for your comments. I think I can relate to your story with remembering some of my own experiences. I am now in contact with another gentleman who has also been down this road. The information I am getting here has really been helpful. Thanks again. Roy
  3. Hey Fred, Talked it over with my son and we are thinking we should look further into the repair of the Blind Jug/Head if the repair is possible. If the repair is not possible we are thinking the Continental 7N is a better match, If one can be found. If you don’t mind maybe we can keep you in mind if at some point we are unable to accomplish anything. Thanks Roy
  4. I think you are right. The blind jug/head shows many freeze cracks and severe deterioration of wide open holes of more than three inches diameter at some of the crack spots. We really haven’t looked into repair thinking about cost verses replacement of entire engine/trans. We probably should actually check the repair route.
  5. Fred, all sounds pretty good, though still mighty unsure of the idea of how to replace and what to replace the ruined engine with. I am in this venture with my son who I will share this info and get back with you. Thanks Roy
  6. Hello. Thank you. I am not real sure of what I think i’m even asking for. I found the 26 28 REO engine on the internet looking to be somewhat similar to my Haynes engine. I guess my first questions might be, can you provide some pictures. is your engine able to run. ( Not knowing if it will match up to my transmission) Is there a trans on or available for it. Is shipping available to Iowa. And then how much you are asking for it.
  7. Continental engine or Liberty Automobile engine is similar to the engine in my Haynes car. Each of these appear to have a blind jug removable head. I am thinking I may be able to use one of these in my car.
  8. Don, just a follow up to let you know I am still interested. Thanks Roy
  9. Hey Don. I am interested, just need to know is the price you are asking. Also would like to know if it is turns free or is it seized. My son an I have a Haynes car showing the engine looking to be very similar. Thanks Roy
  10. Still want to buy a 1920’s Haynes Automobile needing restoration with a 6 cylinder engine
  11. Still wanting to buy a 1920’s Haynes Automobile needing to be to be restored with a 6 cylinder engine.
  12. Hi Jim. Good luck to your friend, My son and I are also looking for Haynes parts for our 1924 model 60 touring. While we are looking, we will let you know if we are able to find anything not useable on our car.
  13. Great car. Great find. My son and I were able to find a 1924 touring model sixty. Hoping to find a motor or even a car needing work. Thank you for posting. It gives hope there may be more out there just waiting to be found.
