  1. I’m looking for spring clips for late ‘40s Packard power window switches. These clips hold the switch together and hold it in the door panel bezel. Similar switches also used on late 40s Hudson’s and Lincolns. I specifically need three spring clips but will also consider a complete switch if clips are included. See photos below.
  2. It’s been a pretty warm December here in eastern PA. I took our Lasalle out for a spin yesterday before tucking it in for the winter. I don’t like to drive on the local roads after we have first snow snd the roads have been salted. But until then, if the weather is mild, I may continue to take them out.
  3. Clips for power window switches on Packard, Hudsons and Lincolns from late 40s. Does anyone know of a good source of the little spring clips that hold the power window switches together and in place in the bezel in the door panels? I need 3 clips that are missing on the switches on my 49 Hudson Commodore.
  4. Thanks for everyone’s feedback. On further inspection it looks like mine is the modern retrofit type with a screw in filter but with the outer housing missing. For the time being I’ll just find a replacement filter cartridge. At some point I may replace it with something like one from Bob’s Automobilia.
  5. Does anyone know what type of filter cartridge fits the filter housing for ‘29 Lasalle? The housing is shown in the pic. There are markings on it. Also, what type of oil is best to use in these early V8 motors? Thanks, Bob
  6. Can anyone identify this? Spotted outside of Ludlow Vt last week. Thanks, Bob B
  7. Thanks for everyone’s help! I guess we have remnants from more than one car in the woods.
  8. Found this rusted abandoned car in the woods on my nephew’s farm in Maine. Looks like a phaeton from the teens or 1920s. Rusted remnants of body, fenders, cowl, hoods, Stewart vacuum tank, mufflers and wheel rims are there. Can anyone identify the make of this car from the dash?
