I believe the date is approximately correct. My Great Grandfather raced Pope Toledo in the Vanderbilt Cup and in Europe up until 1907-8. In our family album, there are a series of similar photos which are numbered. Like the other photos by Nathan Lazarnick that we have, it would seem to me that these were Pope-Toledo promotional pictures. As to the name of of the Native American Indian, wish I could help....
