  1. No issues with rubbing. It was last year when I bought them so they could be out of stock?
  2. I picked up Cooper 235/75/15’s last year from Trail Tire here in Sherwood Park where I live. Approx. $200 a piece. They were in stock in their warehouse. No issues so far.
  3. Yes, it is for a heater hose to go onto. I believe 63,64, and 65 are all the same.
  4. Bob, reach out to Barney Eaton. He is the expert on antenna repair. You can PM him. I think he is away right now but should be back in a few days.
  5. Can’t Pm anyone right now, unfortunately. Forum keeps telling me I am not authorized. You can text me at 780 235-6985 if you wish. Thanks
  6. Hi Guys, I tried to PM Barney Eaton but the forum will not let me. Strange because I have PM’d guys before but perhaps something to do with the change on March 1st. Is the cooper strand in the picture really the correct size for what should be running in the coax cable? It was broken when I pulled it out. As well, should there be another fitting on the end of the coax cable where it screws on to the mast? Or did they solder the cooper wire to that little metal piece sticking out of the mast? If anyone has contact information for Barney, it would be appreciated. Thanks, Russ
  7. Just an FYI, John Stuart Brake in Ontario Canada rebuilt my Bendix last year as it had a broken core. Special thanks to Booster Dewey for shipping them a core he had on hand. John Stuart was good to deal with and fairly quick on their turn around. John Stuart Brake has been doing this for over 70 years, so not a fly by night outfit. For those of you who reside in the U.S. East coast, shipping to Ontario is close and your U.S. dollar will go a long way for the Canadian price.
  8. I was inspired to buy my current 65 Riviera from owning a 75 Riviera when I was in High School. My Dad came home from work one day and told me about fellow who had just been transferred to Edmonton from Vancouver. He was going through a divorce a needed to sell the Riviera. It was about 5 years old and a truly great car with a white leather interior. Found out a few years later, when I blew the engine, that the car had overheated on the trip from Vancouver to Edmonton and the heads were warped. Found a Gm 455 to replace it with and sold the car a few years later. Never forgot about how that car floated down the highway at 100mph like it was barely working. I always told myself I would find another Riviera, which I did last spring, when I found my 65. I have mellowed with age, so I don’t plan on blowing up the 401 in the 65!
  9. It kind of looks like a crash where the car stopped suddenly and a transport truck piled into it. Takes a lot of weight and some speed to do that type of damage. Jaws of life may have been used as well.
  10. Just changed the front coils and shocks on my 65 a few months back. Used Moog stock coils and Monroe shocks. I too had one collapsed coil. It made a significant difference to how it drove. Does not float like it used to. Tires are 255/70/15’s (came with the car) and ground to bottom of wheel well is approximately 26 3/8 on the front and about 26 on the rear. I expect the front will settle a bit over time.
  11. 780 - Sherwood Park, Alberta Garage is a mess, but the car helps brighten it up!
  12. Great looking setup! What size of rims are you running on the front and rear? Tires are Michelin?
  13. Thanks everyone for the pictures and help as well as the warm welcome. As a few have noted it is a fairly well optioned car. The original owner was in the Oil and Gas business and living in Southern Alberta, I think around the Lethbridge area, when he special ordered it from a U.S. dealer across the border. The dealership brought the car to the border where he picked it up. Not something that would happen now. I actually think he deleted the A/C on the car, which is a shame. The car followed him with his work from Alberta to Manitoba to Texas and back up to Canada. The car ended up with his daughter and son in-law in Sherwood Park, Alberta were it was in their garage for the last 15 or so years and never really moved. It was last registered in B.C. where the widow was living. So, now I am trying to get all the safety things fixed up to get and out of province inspection done for Alberta. The history with these old cars can be very interesting. Russ
  14. Hi Mike, I am in Sherwood Park. I knew you were in Edmonton, as I have seen your posts and pictures, but I was not aware of someone with the 63? Hope to see you around town this summer. Russ
