  1. Hello All wanted to post my new find. 1966 GS barn find via the Riview, previous Riv was a 69 that was the definition of a 15 footer. Was able to find this gem and pass the 69 off to a father/son combo in seattle for a song. This GS was a one owner car and has the "Built expressly for..." tag on the glovebox which I have not come across. Another feature is the caps which I like although I am wishing I was able to keep the Rally wheels off the 69. The ride was sitting for 20 years, was put in storage when owner couldnt drive anymore and passed. I purchased from his son who was 70! Fresh plugs and battery and it fired right up, all I had to do was tune the carb, change fluids and put fresh tires on and we're running like a champ. I went with the 735s and they are too big for my taste, unfortunately I am no tire size expert so I pulled a rookie mistake and went a little large! I know some of you guys like the bigger tires but I would prefer a bigger rim with a lower profile tire. If anyone has any 5x5 rims of any type classic or new and would like to sell I am interested!! (in Seattle). This is no garage queen, it is my daily driver. Hands down this is the nicest car I have ever owned and I am sure it would grade on the higher end of unrestored classics but I did not buy the car to only come out in the summer so we will be driving the Riv like it was meant to be. I will be planning on meeting up with the other local Riv owners this year and plan on showing in Greenwood if they have it! cheers!
