Hello all. We purchased my son a 1948 Chevy truck to start restoring as a project for his first vehicle. We were handed a title with the truck but did not realize that there was already handwriting on the back and DMV is giving us nothing but a hassle. Did not buy the truck from the person listed on the title and we have had no luck trying to find them. Went through cartitles.com for the VT registration process and they require that the sales tax be paid on the NADA value. We only paid $500 for the truck (it was in pieces). Dumped a few hundred into it so far and have holted until we can figure out our title issue. Anyone have paperwork they are willing to sell or suggestions? Thanks in advance
