  1. i found a replacement plenum for the cowl vent on my '47 Dodge. As you can see in the pic, it's got surface rust but is otherwise sound. It simple wire brushing the best way to remove surface rust, or is it better to sand blast parts like this? Note that there are arms that move and threaded parts for adjustment.
  2. I just took possession of a '47 Dodge coupe (I am a complete newbie, green as the new-mown grass). I think the cowl vent plenum is rusted beyond repair and this may be a common problem with this vintage. Is there a source for a replacement plenum, or is this something that I'm going to have to search for in a salvage yard? Am I barking up the wrong tree althougther and need to patch up/repair the existing plenum? Thank you in advance for your help.
  3. Thank you. I will start taking photos this weekend. Is this the appropriate place to post my pics/questions, or is https://p15-d24.com/ better place ot post? THX
  4. Today I finally took possession of my '47 Dodge 3 window business coupe. The car is in reasonable running condition, someone recently gave it an ugly paint job and an ugly interior. I am looking for some help to figure out what the car looked like originally, what did the door panels look like? the back shelf? the control knobs? etc. I'm also going to be looking for some replacement chorme parts, door handle, stop light bezel, etc. I will be grateful for any help or leads.... i have a long way to go.
