  1. Several years ago we bought the adapter to go to 20 volt and since then we have replace all but the grinder with 20 volt. I buy nothing but generic batteries. They are # and dated so we can keep track of them. We own 22 batteries. 4 impacts, 2 Sawals, 2 skill saws, 2 1/2 drills, 2 3/8 drills, grease gun, 1 blower, 1 jig saw, 3 lights, 2 fien, 3 radios, pin nailer plus the 18 volt grinder. I'm happy with them. Jim S
  2. Here in Oregon, when my dad passed away in 2017 I went down to DMV to put the titles in my name. He had Old Timer Plates & Historic plates on the cars and truck & I wanted year of Vehicle plates on them. I Took title, death certificate, my birth certificate, my license & proof of insurance. I had 6 titles and plates to do all 6. I new it was going to be $150 plus dollars. After waiting inline some 45 plus minutes. They wanted a power or water bill also. I told them I could go and put the plates on the cars and nobody going to know the difference and your going to be out $900 plus dollars. Thats what I did. Then last year I got a 67 Camaro with no title. I called Salem DMV and gave them the vin and license plate #. It had not been licensed since 1980. They sent a letter to last know address with no response. 95 days later I had a title in the mail. All they only wanted was my drivers license. Go figure Jim S
  3. Back in 1984 my brother bought a 1971 C50. It had a 30-foot box van on it. We cut it down to put a 16-foot dump bed on it. I don't know how old the tires were when we bought it but they are still on it today. I just hauled a load of rock last week at 28,600 gross. I have taken it to Les Schwab for tire inspection many times, with a passing grade. Not bragging. I want to be safe. Jim S
  4. I remember that day Jack. I'm in my same space 2314 inside the back gate just past the Y. I almost got everything loaded today. It's spring vacation for my grandson who just turned 10. This will be his 5th swap meet. We used to be at Expo and moved down some 30 years ago just for the camping on the track. The only advantage of Expo is the inside spaces for the 55% of the time it rains there. Looks like another wet one. It's all fun. See you there. Jim S
  5. My son and I pickup this 1910 Case Steam Tractor up this summer. It’s a 50 horse. We got the water tender & a McCormick thresher with it. The rear wheels are 6 foot 2 inches tall my son is 6 foot 8. Its last inspection was 2016 & last ran in 2018. It weighed in at 22,080 going across the scale on are way home.We are scheduled to go to steam school in May at Brooks OR
  6. Some one needs to pick these up before the go to the crusher. Offer him scrap iron prices. Jim S
  7. Thanks for all the information you guys have been posting. Jon said they made these carbs all the way up to the 40s. I think this might be a replacement being it's aluminum The only thing I can find on the carb is Schebler and PAT# APLD. Jon would you know what the elbow on the bottom of the carb with the spring loaded butterfly is for? Is there suppose to be a hose hook to it or any linkage? Thanks Jim S
  8. Thanks Larry Gene I have it running it's on the rich side. I don't think I want to lean it out too much being air cooled. When I shut it off gas leaks out of elbow that screws on to the bottom of the float bowel. I'm think it's a over flow vent. It stops after 2 or 3 minutes. I had exhaust leaks at the cylinder heads, someone put the flanges on upside down or turned around, they are slightly off center. I made new gaskets and sealed up my exhaust leaks. I agree they must have used anything they could find. My front fenders are different than the ones on the blue car. Jim S
  9. Dave sorry I haven’t responded earlier. I would like to sell radiator, headlights & hood for $900I also have a trans & front hub assembly from king pins out. If I break it up I would sell the radiator for $450 Jim S 541 379 1344

  11. Hi Hugh I have been working on the Metz today. I had the engine running and noticed the intake plug on the right side was wet. I tighten the plug it was still leaking. I pulled it out and cleaned the threads and sealing points. Still leaking, I'm looking for a new copper gasket. What I was wondering was where the corrugated hose off the bottom of the carb go. Very nice Buick
  12. Hugh. I checked the clearance on my valves int .010 ex .020. The gas cap measure 2.5310 outside & 2.1860 inside. I have had the car running today & for a 2 cylinder I think it’s running pretty good. I need to drive it to see how it does under load. I do have exhaust leaks. I hope you can see the pictures. Jim
  13. Hugh I will get you pictures and measurement Saturday. What is the black hose coming off the bottom of the carb and where does it go? Is there supposed to be linkage hooked up to it. I see you have a 25 Buick touring. I have a 13 Model 25 touring and a 27 Standard touring. Jim
  14. Hugh The green tank is like mine. If I could see that cap out in the open. I don't think that's your car. I know nothing about these carbs. It a Schebler model H it has a 1" bore. I have been trying to get it to idle better. Jim S
  15. Hugh Thanks for the information. When I bought the car, I was told it was a 09. It is actually a 11. I did get some information from Eugene that helped me with the brakes. This car went through a flood back in 2020. Thats why I went through the wheel bearings and brakes. Cleaned and oil the chains. When I got the car, my wheels were reverse from what yours are. Any advantage or disadvantage of running the wheels like that? On the gas cap I have never even seen one. All the pictures of cars I see I haven't seen a good picture of the gas cap. Anything would help. What are they made of? Tom has a beautiful car. Thanks again. Jim S
