  1. Neat car. I'm curious about the seating, is there an advantage to the offset seating? I've seen it in some speedster posts. The passenger bottom cushion is long, for a reason?
  2. Looking around for a new needle and seat, I can only find ones for Ford tractors having a Schebler carb. Does anyone know of one that fits? My valve seat is stuck inside of the body, before I try harder to get it out, I would like to know of a replacement in case it gets damaged. I have US cleaned it and have it soaking in solvent. I found a gasket kit at Mikes A Fordable. This ebay needle set is the closest Ive found.
  3. I chased the threads, got some new nuts and it went together perfect. Thanks Howard
  4. I can try a die on the post. I took the nut which is brass off of the other side and it looks as new, it fits on the other stud.
  5. I am looking for a terminal nut for my starter solenoid. It seems to be an oddball thread, very close to a 5/16-24. Does anyone know of a replacement or have a nut from one to sell?
  6. Best to have it recored at a radiator shop.
  7. I saw a similar Metz in orange at the Mystic Seaport car event 6 or 7 years ago, it gave me the first impression of speedsters.
  8. These hubcaps are 2-3/16" threads. No bids yet, starting at $19.99 with one day to close. Too bad they arent 2-3/4" threads to fit my '18 Touring car.
  9. Real neat car, but it is a flip sale, parked outside of a storage unit. Same owner for 97 years? It must look good with the top down.
  10. I just called you with an 860 area code. If you think you have a wheel and four hubcaps, call me.
  11. I spoke with Pat. He sold the Roadster and parts.
  12. Nice roadster. Was the fuel pump an accessory item or was it standard on later Maxwells?
  13. The owner must have been sick and tired of the super bright headlights on new cars nowadays.
  14. Looking for a spare wheel and four hubcaps for my 1918 Maxwell 25 if anyone has them for sale.
  15. This doc gives years with VINs.
  16. Yes .62, good catch. Most ignition caps are about .22 that Ive seen. The values climb when they go bad. My radio isnt working so I could take it out and put the screw back in until I fix it one of these days. It looks like the lead could short out as the insulation is deteriorated.
  17. My generator has a capacitor wired to the red lead and looks like its original. It measures 62 mf. Is this fitted for radio interference reduction or is it necessary for proper generator functioning? If needed, should I replace it with a standard ignition capacitor?
  18. Pretty neat. Its good to see some variety on the streets besides boxy wagon things and glamor boy pickup trucks.
  19. Looking for a spare wheel, 4 Hub caps and a radiator cap for my 1918 Maxwell 25. The wheel can be a Standard demountable or a stock rim as my car has both. Radiator filler thread is 1.99" OD Hub threads are 2.74" OD
  20. Looking for 4 hubcaps, radiator cap and a spare wheel that fits.
  21. The VIN says its a 1918 acording to the chart. The rims are nonclincher style, basically an assembled rim. I want to find one of these Standard demountable rims for a spare.
  22. Quite the rugged cars! Thanks for posting.
