  1. @Terry Harper Thanks for sharing! It’s really neat to see and hear a steam locomotive. Like a real life fire breathing monster. The only one operable from our transportation museum is the 611 which last I recall was on loan to a different facility. It’s occasionally taken on excursions. Impressive machines
  2. @edinmass Thanks for sharing the technical and mechanical side of these old cars. Most like myself have seen them parked and shown. Very few people get to see the inner workings of what makes them tick and the work involved with that.
  3. That’s fantastic! My grandfather made boilers for N&W here at the Roanoke shops from 21-52 and I’m still amazed at how they built them!
  4. Not sure who actually took the photo. I agree, it’s a cool pic and made me smile when I received it.
  5. Every time I see a picture of the Buick, a little voice in my head says I need one!
  6. @West Peterson My cousin sent me a message last night. Apparently he knows Tom and told me about the car. I got the picture today. That’s really a cool find and always fun to hear about stories like this!
  7. Unfortunately it’s not. Pulled from a barn here in SW Virginia. Not Ohio but still interesting. lol Didn’t have a pic last night
  8. Yes, very shocking. The frequency of this especially with a deceased family members car is very common.
  9. That’s actually a jack that was my wife’s grandfather's I restored. I have a big hydraulic bottle jack that’s heavier and seemed overkill. I do have a model T jack that seemed a little to light. That one worked perfectly
  10. Awesome jam with War! Most might not realize he sang House Of The Rising Sun’ with the Animals
  11. Learning the struggle of Firestone rims and 33x 4 tires! lol
  12. Yep, that indeed sounds miserable
  13. One of the best lathe guy’s I’ve ever met was exactly the same. He’d walk away from his machine with any radio noise. I understand that and respect it completely
  14. Nice! I was very young when it came out and my older brother got the record. We played the heck out of it on the old Tv-Stereo combo. Record player one side and radio on the other. I’m a 76 model and still remember tv’s that were furniture. I even remember some putting newer tv’s on top of the old ones to keep using the stereo! Lol
  15. I’m a little more partial the Sharp Dressed Man video even as that sounds bad to the uninformed! lol The one in purple my friend!
  16. The Amp Hour Rating is the true measure. Regardless of tool manufacturer. The larger amp rating the better performance. OEM batteries are ridiculous on price so if you can find a cheaper alternative with a high amp rating you should be satisfied with price and performance. Batteries out price tools nowadays
  17. ZZTop Eliminator album this afternoon. Perhaps the best album cover ever?
  18. Not to say that I don’t really, really like that Duesenberg! Lol It’s interesting how we appreciate certain cars differently.
  19. @edinmass That Duesenberg is no doubt world class! However, I really, really like the Buick. I’d say it’s a load of fun to drive around!
  20. That’s great! I hope you enjoyed every mile. I love hearing about the old iron doing what they were meant to do.
