  1. I don’t have numbers on mine it doesn’t look like
  2. Thanks Hugh. One last question. My ignition block/switch has no key. Is it possible to remove and replace it with a new one found at Bob's Automobilia? Sam
  3. So the gears move alright but they have been damaged at the bottom of the column and are shot so they have to be replaced. I have a new set and had planned to replace them. Here's my question on that, if i am to replace them, do I need to pull the horn wire out to do that? Since the steering wheel pieces are already pulled back and the wire is right there so I am assuming i can easily pull it, replace the gears and reinstall the wire?
  4. Thanks Hugh, here is a pic of the steering column and pics of my cars. The 1928 Standard I picked up at auction from a gentleman who passed away and never finished it. I have it running now. The 1920 I purchased from an individual who's father had restored it but the interesting part is that it belonged to my Great Grandfather years ago and sat on the farm where my brother and I unfortunately shot it full of holes as kids in the early 70s.
  5. I recently acquired a 1928 Buick standard sedan. The steering column/horn button and all parts are there however the horn button and ring and light switch been pulled up from the wheel. I see there is a spring in under there and a screw for the horn button. Im just not sure how to put it all back together without breaking any thing. It was pulled apart by the previous owner to attach a new horn wire which he accomplished but never finished the job before passing.....Also, can the keyed steering lock be replaced? I see there is one on Bobs but not sure how to extract the old one. Thank you Sam Graves
