  1. I am looking for a connector my ignition key tumbler? messed up and the release did not work to remove it. After that battle when I unplugged the connector of course someone had previously did something with the wires two female connectors are loose housing is cracked. In my never-ending frustration with wiring, I have heated words with a moron that had no business under the dash. After many hours I think I found what this idiot was doing. A radio and two speakers on the rear deck finding a hot wire and routing the speaker wires under the carpet around dimmer switch, parking brake bracket in and out of wire harness etc. Between the radio and the dash AC vent cracked as well and more. Sorry I need to vent so bad. Okay I'm looking for a connector appreciate any leads, Also if someone has an fuse box mine is a little heat distorted. Overall the harness is not that bad I have repaired splices nicks etc. soldered heat shrinked cloth taped for now. I want to upgrade the alternator to 75 amp not a 1 wire. Do the big 3 upgrade add a fused relay prewired block for car stereo and headlights if needed electric fan? Adding mechanical gauges. I appreciate all those on this site who share there knowledge with guys like me new to Rivieras. If anyone wants to jump in on any of the above please and thank you. Enjoy the holiday all stay safe.
  2. I plan on having those organ pipes in my 63 Riviera I have a Venetian Blind for the rear glass. The organ pipes complete the look I want I'm still waiting on new rear drums. Working daily to repair wiring bugs and unplugged, half connected, sloppy work problems created by previous idiots. Clean detail and maintenance all of it.
  3. Thanks for replies 1965rivgs is helping me out with needed info and a emblem for sale
  4. Just turned 58 I have a 63 Riviera first buick for me learning it as I go. Wiring is taking a long time. Seems most of the old cars I get are hard to get parts for not alot of reproduction parts either. Owned 55 chevy pick up 59 chevy 2 door biscayne 1948 Plymouth business coupe 69 vw bug. In the 80's except the VW there were tons of parts.
  5. Nice like the interior color, does know where to get the R door panel emblem?
  6. My Riviera has a fuse box with 3 rows for glass fuses in the 1963 Buick Service Manual has 2 row fuse box in Riviera electrical illustrations an wire diagrams. There writing on my fuse box is no longer visible for fuse identification. I do not know what fuse's go in the middle row 3 fuse holders or amp sizes? The box looks like it got hot. I bought the car online from a Vintage Car Dealer in Denver. There was a short in the trunk wiring and real bad tape and splice fix. I safely fixed until a new harness and updated fuse box replacement. The fuse box was rusty had blown fuses with foil in several holders. I sanded all holders have new fuses. I don't know if this fuse box is correct anyone that has more knowledge with Rivieras fuse boxes need fuse Amp sizes id each holder. 4 or 5 connectors unplugged under the dash need to identify as well. One step at a time
  7. Hello how was your weekend? Hope it was good I had a VIN inspection and got my car Titled and Registered last Thursday. It was the first time I got to drive it since it was shipped here. It drove and ran great had to muscle it a couple times need to replace power steering belt. Thought it needed to be tightened but looks like belt was little big no more adjustment left. Soon I will might have this 3 car garage to work on and park my car in. It comes with a home over half way through buying I had a blessed week. Good night
  8. Afternoon hello from Albuquerque NM how's your day? Thanks for letting me sign up I am a 1st time Buick owner but I do love Rivi's. So I got more of the pictures switched to jpeg so I can show my car. It has been parked but I have a appointment this Friday with MVD for vin inspection Title and Registration. I still got a couple bugs to work on but I can't at my temporary Apartment. I have no tools everything's in storage. Hopefully closing on a home in a few weeks meanwhile I got the 1963 service manual and it's great. Okay I guess I will shut up for now.
