I am not sure. The rod that is inside the tube does move very freely it seems that it is bound up?

New to me Commander that the column shifter seems to be stuck and only able to go into neutral and second. The lever is not connected to the top and i am thinking it is missing a part. I looked in my shop manual and the diagram is small. thanks Paul
