25" rims were used past 1920 with both wood a steel felloe types depending on the date the car was made. 1919 would have the 25" rim wood felloe Dodge wheels that used the wedge type loose lugs, the steel felloe not being introduced till early 1920. The 24" rim wheel came out sometime after 1920, I would have to check the Master Parts list.

RE the gas gauge ring, try a small strap wrench. I put a drain valve in mine instead of the plug. If I need a bit of gas, easy to open and drain off a little bit.

Mark, thanks for posting that link. I lost it in a computer crash, having reposted it many times over the years.

Both my Model T's have been in several parades. We could only go as fast as the slowest kid, so not real fast and lots of stop and go. Had a blast doing it every time. :)The 1925, vaper locked a couple of times and stalled. Had to get out and hand crank it, the crowd loved it. Me maybe not so much, it was over 90 degrees. But made it to the end. The 1921 had a Warford, so it could just creep along.

Last time I checked about 5-6 years ago, it was $17 per shoe to remove the bonded lining (not set, thats per shoe). Sure you can do if for less, but takes a good amount of heat to release the glue they use. Just a heads up.

Could also be over filled, plugged vent tube (new radiator or not, something could have gotten into it) or missing cap gasket. Drain off some oil in to a clean pan, does it look whiteish?

This is the help ID section. This site is for cars/trucks over 25 years old. 2005 would not be a fit. Even so, you would need to post it in one of the classified sections if there was one.

I need a 1927 dodge coupe door striker plate my number is 937-469-4429
Best to start your own wanted ad, not at the end of someones post about battery cables. Don't post your number in a public forum, anyone can read it logged in or not.

Like a Scotch golfer I will use whatever club gets me out of the rough but it will be an old one because that is the only kind I have.
You should see my clubs! LOL They are in the back of the 20 Dodge bound with packing tape Now where did the golf ball roll to?
Oh as to the question; the only time I worry about era tools is if they were made for a particular job, otherwise, whatever is handy.

1923 was still low radiator. The tall radiator, 1924/25 started in the fall of 1923 with the introduction of the 1924 models.

I don't understand all and angst and wasted time over $2! If a car is using the public road and there is a toll, why should they be exempt, no matter the age of said car?

As I recall from reading the jug, water glass is not compatible with anti-freeze and is not permanent. After doing stitching repair on clean blocks, we have been using Irontite but that is with a bare block.

Great idea! I would have to use the ones from the Portland Winter Hawks though! LOL

One of the guy on the MTFCA site down south of me has some.
Anyone have 4 good take off, 33 X 4-inch tires and one tube that still have some road life in them? Don't even all have to match tread wise.
Thanks

Paul, Mark, The OE-1s, I have four, are striped bodies so as I am beginning to understand the linkage is what would define it's specific application. I am surprised the the numbers stamped into the bodies don't offer more help in tracing down their origins.
Not just the linkage. If you look at information from the era on Stromberg's, you could have several different size venturis in the same carb body, depending on the engine cubic inch size.

Most all of the OE-1's I have seen were off Studebaker according to the bowl covers that I have seen. That does not mean all were installed on that brand. I have run the OE-1s on Model Ts with different intake installed, pretty good carb.

Guessing someplace in Australia. Cars look to be righthand drive. Small car on left/front might be an Austin.

I read the suggestion to use an electric fuel pump just to prime the carburetor, not have it run full time. Not that uncommon to do a setup that way esp for cars that sit for a while.

Dodge Brothers did from the start up to April/May 1922.

1917 to 1923 low hood.

If your wheels and rims are original, they would have been split rims but could have been clincher also. Any suggestion made about mounting tires, would need to know what rims you have.
