  1. Thanks George Cole, I really needed this today ! Maybe, just maybe, I'm not as crazy as I had thought !
  2. Ahhhh, I see what you did there. I've never thought about it like that. I've always sprang for the more expensive one !
  3. No, TexasJohn55, this is perfectly normal for Camaros
  4. I personally wouldn't offer to buy it back. What's the worst that could happen? Lose a future customer? He probably wouldn't be back even if you did buy it back. Use your head and offer to help him sell it and draw the line there. You've got to look out for you. You owe him nothing more.
  5. Not sure but is the 48 in the lower right part of the picture a year number ?
  6. It looks like the Discovery + is just repeats from the regular discovery channel. I'm thinking I will pass.
  7. I don't think a color change will hurt the car that much unless you are going to judged events. I say paint the car any color you like. You will be much happier in the end. Just my personal opinion. Also, even tho no chevelles were painted Elkheart green, I'm kinda partial to the color. :LOL
  8. What a liar, it's plain to see the window chrome is clearly bent !
  9. That's what I've always said.... You can never have too much garage space. Hell, if worse comes to worse, you can always sleep in the garage.
  10. Ahhhh, I grew up with that same poster on my bedroom wall. You cannot imagine just how happy my teen years were ! LOL
  11. Obviously, these streets are not like the pothole filled streets in good ole' North Carolina. This sure wouldn't work here.
  12. George, I was planning to have some gravel spread on my driveway. Sure hope I don't get this guy !
  13. I have a 454 in my Corvette with no real problems so to speak of. If it's real power you're looking for contact John Kaase and have him build you a 429. LOL just joking. This is the humor forum after all.
  14. I will say this from what I've been through personally. When I bought my 1929 model A, I knew(or thought I knew) all things about a car. No sir, the model A is so simple to work on, it's sometimes frustrating. My advice before buying anything is find someone in your immediate area and go to their home (with a mask of course) and talk to them. Try and learn all you can about the car from someone first hand. Most folks are very willing to take their time and show you the car or truck. Remember, those who have one are very proud of them and are more than willing to help. Where are you located ?
  15. I'm very surprised while reading some of these posts that at least one of you "senior members" hasn't mentioned that you took tour test with a horse and buckboard! LOL. Just kiddin'. I do appreciate having the ability to have a place that I can go to and expect to get some great advice from those of you experienced members. Some forums that are available, you sometimes finding people giving advice that couldn't open a can of pork and beans. (even the cans with the pull top) ! Thanks for all the great memories from some of the cars you guys and gals have used. Seems like I owned them all. Except for the '29 Chevrolet.
  16. Took my drivers' ed in 1976. By that time I had driven everything one could mention. Our high school, which was fairly new at the time had a dedicated drivers course which covered all of 9 acres. it has intersections, two lane runs, parallel parking spots, ect. It really was nice. Anyway, we had 1 hour of drivers' ed every day for two weeks. That year the local Buick dealership loaned the school 2 of their brand new Opel GTs. 4 speed of course! The class was asked how many could drive a stick and luckily only 2 of us could. So, myself and the other guy had a car to ourselves for the entire hour while the others had to drive for 15 mins each. Just imagine, a drivers course that had a back straight away that was longer than the straight away at Indy. I wish I had some pics to post. I then went to the DMV in a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 with a 390 and a 4 speed! I also got my motorcycle endorsement by just saying I had riden a dirt bike for 10 + years.
